With all the conversation in here that is not centered around intel and valuable information. I thought I'd once again give back to this board out of gratitude for those who take the time to provide accurate and updated information.

I arrived to Medellin yesterday. And stayed at Atton El Tesoro for one night. I wanted to check out this hotel as it's new and highly rated. But I would not stay again unless I was here on business. The hotel is located high up on the Poblado hills and is very difficult to get to. I recommend staying at an airbnb outside of the tourist traps.

Now off to the intel from past two days.

New Life:

True. But where / how do you find them, anyone (or place) that facilitates the transaction takes their cut, and to run the business effectively. They set the prices. That is how a business is run. If alternatives become practically viable people will choose those, and prices will reset suitably. Understanding of local culture and language and time / effort etc are obvious constraints doing your own.

Day one.

First day.

I got my tickets about a few weeks back. I also reserved room at Mansion. Living near western coast of US, I had a long flight time and multiple flight changes.

Uneventful flight. Took a cab from the airport, one of the airport cabs. Costs 70,000 COP. Close to an hour of travel.

You jump back and forth from COP to Dollars while confusing matters further, as your examples seem to cite a limited range of touristy options.

There are hundreds of venues where one can successfuly meet girls in Medellin at any given time. While I do not go for the "model types" as I feel that distinction is primarly awarded to those who have higher level of skill in make-up, fashion, FB selfies and not actual beauty. Also, "model types" seem to me to overcompensate and put on a front of self confidence which in my opinion drives price up and quality of service down.

IN Medellin, in general the girls are awesome! Anywhere you meet them they are friendly. If you make a friendly, but not lude or rude, comment to a pretty girl in the street, odds are she will smile. Go from there. Ask if she will help you practice your Spanish. Offer to share a tinto or helado or almuerzo. The culture is far from perfect but it is a happy one. The people generally and genuinely want you to enjoy the moment and enjoy themselves too.

Last year I was at a Halloween party in Poblado. One guy I'd met a few times showed up with a genuine model, not just a model type. She stood alone, away from everyone while he made the rounds and said his hellos. Before the party got going she was whining to go somewhere else. There were probably 60 to 80 other girls there. Man you said some shit right there that is the absolute truth. Too many guys want to pick women off a website or some overpriced trap that is full of chicks with glamor tricks. To me there is no such thing as a model type. I have seen plenty of stars and models in everyday situations and they look just like anybody else. For some reason guys fall for the makeup, clothing, posing bullshit. When I meet a chick and she comes to my room all that makeup shit has to come off.
