Luckily, I was able to come unscratched in this whole event. Just wanted to share this with you guys, so that you can be safe when this kind of situation comes. Just to add one important point: The guy was speaking good English. May be that could work as clue to be double sure who you are dealing with.

Thanks for exposing such frauds in Locanto bro. There are many such frauds here also. We need to be careful. And I also agree that guys speaking good English can be also frauds nowadays.

It's also a more safer option as you know how things work in India than a foreign country! If she is from the US then get ready to splurge more than a lakh just on her flight tickets. If from Europe then you should be looking at 50-60 k! The closer to India, the better for you in terms of minimizing the damages! I also don't know about how to go about arranging her visa. For me personally, the risks outweigh the rewards, weight out all the factors and decide.

This scam is run by a number mapped to rishi motor repairs based out of hazaribagh. During the blackmail they ask you to deposited the money into a number which is mapped to the above name on just dial.

Any well connected monger can actually bust this entire set up with this info. Can reverse check it by reverse searching SP names and maybe doing mystery shopping.

It'll send a strong message to such scamsters and be of great value to all mongers.
