My fifth terma. I went to the club at 7:30 pm on Friday expecting lots of girls and men to be there. Entrance is 140 BR. Unlike other termas the entrance has to be prepaid here. This club has the newest and nicest facilities of all the termas I had visited. It also has the biggest lounge. There were about 10+ girls with couple of good looking ones. I was the only man in there. Couple of girls came an talk to be but I wasn't interested in them. It was hard to get rid of them. I left the club and went to Solarium after drinking a free beer that was included with entrance.

It was strange to see this club had no customers on Friday night situated in a prime location with best facilities. It is a shame they ruined their reputation being greedy and treating customers like ATM machines. This may be one of those clubs that totally relies on tourists and probably waiting for pandemic to end.

Nice report Lalabo! Anybody who read my report from the last time I was at Centaurus will know that I had the exact same experience as you. I was the only customer on a Friday or Saturday night, with maybe about 15 or so girls present. What a great fall off from where Centaurus used to be! Brazil is not the USA. If you check in online, you can get to the airport 20 minutes before the flight and make it through security on time.

300-400 USD (one way OR round trip) doesn't sound right. Maybe it was right around that time (5/22) that flights were super expensive. I remember I was looking at flights a couple weeks ago and it went up a lot. But not to $300-400, especially one way. This weekend, OW flights on Sat are $72 and Sun are $50. Much cheaper if you're booking a month in advance. But these prices seem to fluctuate a lot.

I initially planned 2 nights but extended it by 4 nights after my disappointing visit to Scandallo on Saturday. I have visited 5 termas and liked Solarium the most because it had most consistently good looking girls during all my visits. I was able to use my free time more effectively in Rio than in SP by going to various beaches and visited popular tourist spots. I like Rio and I plan to visit soon.

4 x4:

My first terma. Entry fee was 50 BR. Lineup was bad on Monday with 15+ girls, none of them good looking, and I left after spending half hour or so.

My next visit was on Wednesday and the lineup was much better. I sessioned with Lorena, a 22 yo girl with tight body with amazing deepthroating skills. She voluntarily deepthroated a lot which I liked. I came back on Thursday but left quickly as I didn't see any new girls.

Solarium:

My second terma and the best. This may be the smallest of the termas that I have visited but it had the consistently best looking girls. Lineup was great with 20+ girls on the days I have visited and most of them were young and petite. I sessioned 4 girls and all of them were great. Monte Carlo:

My third terma and the worst. I visited it on Tuesday at around 5:30 pm. They had about 10 girls and not even one decent looking one. There was not much to do so I used sauna for an half hour and left the club within an hour. 120 BR entrance fee for the lineup they had felt like highway robbery.

Terma 65:

My fourth terma. One of the guys I met in Solarium recommended visiting this terma. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area visiting other termas like 4 x4. I visited it twice, first visit was on Wednesday and then on Thursday. Entrance is 70 BR and 235 BR for girl for half hour.

On Wednesday I entered the club at around 8 pm and it was packed with 50+ girls and lot of men. Everyone was dancing to the earsplittingly loud music. For a moment I thought I was in a dance club. I grabbed a drink and started looking for hotties but found none. All of them were with these 2 groups of guys with bottle service on their tables. Termas vs FKKs:

Termas are very similar to German / European FKKs in concept but at a much smaller in size and scale. Termas have all the FKK elements like girls, bar and sauna except a restaurant. In termas, you have the option of staying in your street cloths or wear a robe whereas in FKKs you have an option of wearing a robe or towel. In FKKs, entrance usually include food and soft drinks and in some cases alcohol. In termas, you have to pay for all the drinks.

Additional thoughts:

Terma lounges are very small (except Centaurus) and get crowded very quickly. Each terma has a set price for girls that covers all the services provided including anal, CIM or whatever else. There is no concept of extras like you have in SP boetes and clinicas, or FKKs, or lots other places. Not all girls provide extras so you better discuss prior to the session. 3 of the 6 girls I sessioned did anal and 2 did CIM.

The last time I was at Perola Negra (its been awhile), I don't recall there being any dark-skinned girls in the house. I think you have not considered efficiency, supply and demand. You are also missing it goes both ways because not only the demand increases, there are more supply as well. One example is Medellin FB scene. The technology opens up a new supply that was not available before. Also China cracked down on prostitutions which reduced the supply in Asia significantly and that caused the price to go up elsewhere.

Sure, that is the miracle of technology that it has opened up many more destinations for the hobby. Supply has definitely increased all over the world and it seems like there is still a dearth of options considering how popular porn and online chat / videos are. The biggest issue lies in the fact that sex tourism is still tourism; people are expecting to pay money, save up for the trip, and don't feel the need to haggle over 5 USD as long as they feel they are getting decent prices. Longer term expats are effectively doing this at a longer time scale so they can spend the time searching for better prices but make no mistake that they are not haggling over the last 10 reais either when it comes down to it. They have the advantage of being able to hit up a few of the cheaper places looking for the good stuff, while that might be considered a bit of a waste of time for shorter term visitors who don't want to waste time jockeying up and down elevators in random buildings all day. I do think it is interesting that there appears to be a fine line on how penny pinching is perceived; in Thailand, our fellow Indian mongers are often looked down upon for these habits, yet mongers also can't spend too much without getting called market busters. It's a tough line, that's for sure.

I wonder how the rise of digital nomads in the coming decade or two will change that. Most tech companies are never going back to full-time in-office work so we will see a new generation of the global wealthy descend upon these cities and town for longer stretches as they seek to "experience" the world. It will be different because the majority of longer-term expats are usually retirees or older men who live on fixed incomes or have to budget their reserves. Go look at PA, gparena, or any other "common man's" site if you want want you to understand prices. The vast majority of those prices are much lower than the 1000 are pernoite and substantially so. Now, you can book flights, hotels, and itineraries in minutes, all in the language you understand because governments incentivize your dollars.

3) Internet and general mongering knowledge has increased. On the one hand, men are much more knowledgeable about traveling so they can engage more easily in the hobby. On the other hand, professional women can judge their worth on global scales, understand their "worth", and make decisions using that knowledge.

Well said. I would compare this to my business. We sell some items to manufacturing companies and they pay a certain price for those items due to them being manufactures (or locals) and they buy in quantity. We also get the odd small or retail person who wants to do his own thing with our item (tourist or gringo). We charge them the retail (gringo) price which is at least 1. 5 x the manufacturer price. The manufacturers don't complain about the small person ruining the market for their product. They know that those guys cannot make a dent in the market due to quantity and production limitations. Same thing here. How would a few hundred or thousand tourist mongers drastically effect the market? There is now way the tourist number equal the local numbers. In the end, the girls get more from the tourists but keep the rate for locals because that is what the market dictates.

This would be like blaming the guy who pees in the ocean once for ocean pollution. If a member seeks out the best deal that can be had, let them. If a member seeks out what he thinks is fair for his wallet, let them. If a member seeks out a 10 every time and is willing to pay 10 x the price for that, let them.

It is true that our most prolific member, Mr E, came here to Barra, but he came on a Sunday night for 3 days. We hit Perola negra on a weekday night, a Tuesday or Wednesday, which was suboptimal.
