I am sure many of you have read this article (attached) that came out this week in TOI.

I strongly recommend the following to avoid getting in similar trouble.

1, Do not use you primary number for your mongering. Buy a new sim and use it only for mongering.

2. Alternately best to avail an online service like Hushed. They have a 3 day free trial but you need to add your credit card and may be charged for 1 month Rs. 600. Get a US / any other location number. Register on WhatsApp and other platforms that you need with this new number (SMS verification) and then disable the recurring payment. WhatsApp and most services need only once sms. So even after the number is deactivated you can continue using it.

3. Change the number every year.

4. Never keep your original pic as DP. Never share your original pic. Use an online service to create a deep fake image.

5. Never give your core email ID. Create a new one for registering on social media.

6. Use Deep fake for social media platform.

7. Make you core fb & insta account private.

8. As a precaution, make sure you change the setting in your WhatsApp (ideally all fam members) that their DP can only be seen "My contacts".

9. Never give your original name when mongering.

This list can be really big but the above are basic for safe mongering.
