flights from US to Brazil, do they generally run on time, arrive early, etc? - might reserve my Airbnb in Copa a day earlier so I'm not waiting around 6 hours to check in a 3 pm.

There's a flight tracker flightaware that you can see how often there are delays. Just checked ua845 direct from ORD and usually is on time.

Not sure your itinerary exactly but for example if you land GRU at 9:30 am, 2 HR layover and then 11:30 am flight to SDU lands around 1 pm. Getting a ride to Copa is 15-30 minutes. So probably can ask Airbnb to leave luggage or early check in at point. I would be tempted to leave luggage at SDU lockers and check out centro. But up to you.

Shit always happened in Rio, specially if you are careless. In Lapa there are a lot of weirdos. Two women set them up.

Definitely not more more than enought time. Can be tight. Migration, luggage, maybe do another check-in, security and boarding.

Two Chilenan tourists went to Lapa on Saturday evening, somebody put Boa Noite Cinderela in their drinks, they passed out, got robbed, beaten and propably thrown from Mirante do Rato Molhado (a lookout point, 3 m fall). One guy died.

I'm actually considering a flight to Rio using United / Azul (with stops in ORD and GRU). Pretty decent price. Is a 2 hour layover in GRU long enough to get through customs and security to make that next flight to Rio? Should be, but. LOL.

Seems like with a 9 or 10 hour flight, there is ample time to arrive earlier than expected. It's been like this for a while now. Welcome to the new normal. As a 1 k with United, I've been buying one-ways only, and using Plus Points. Just keep changeing dates until you get the upgrade. Or else pony up. At least you'll get the miles and keep your status.

There are no guaranteed venues in Rio for top optics like Scandallo. That said I had great luck at Monte Carlo and several other posters have confirmed. I saw a legit 9. 5 there but she insisted CBJ. Otherwise 7 and 8+s with great service.

It is small like Solarium but waaaay better vibe IMO. Solarium is like being in a doctors office. Very bright not a bar like vibe. Monte Carlo is very much like a bar. Low lighting. Very good bar service. Just a much less awkward vibe. And three of us had a great time!

I went to both and I have to agree MC is much better than Solarium. It is slightly cheaper but better quality girls, and better than 4 x4 for a mile. I guess because the type of girls I prefer are more available at MC than 4 x4.

Hello members!

After some help from this forum (Thank you everyone! My friend and I have booked ourselves with the following itinerary:

1. Sao Paulo. June 3-5.

2. Rio. June 5-10 (at the Hilton Copacabana).

3. Sao Paulo. June 10-11.

Our intentions:

1. Sao Paulo. Hit up Scandallo on Saturday night. Tour the city on Sunday and hopefully hit some chicca in the evening.

2. Rio. Land in Rio on Monday morning. Chill during the day and hit a terma (open to recommendations). My friend has arranged a girl though Seeking Arrangements. I have arranged a couple of girls through MeuPatracinio, but I am not really excited about them by their looks as of yet.

I am counting on going to any terma or clinica to get numbers from girls and take them out.

We're looking to do this almost everyday we are there in Rio. Trying to spend the day with different girls we either see through Barra Vip online or through termas / clinicas.

I have narrowed some good restaurants down, but let me know if you have any MUST DINE IN suggestions where we should take our girls.

Lastly, please let me know if any of you are in either of the two cities during the time I visit. Would love to catch up and hit some spots together!

Classico Beach Club / Perola Negra is better than scandallo because it has the same girls ON THE BEACH.

I paid my first visit to Solarium, and it's also my first mongering experience in Brazil. Although I wasn't disappointed, I have to say it didn't live up to my expectations.

First of all, there are many good things about this place: girls may give you slutty looks to entice you, but they don't push for a session; a lot of girls have all natural bodies and good curves, which is very important to me.

However, the cons are also obvious. For example, the entire second floor where girls interact with customers is so small! When you get in the room and find a place to sit down, all the girls just look at you hoping to be picked, and it gets a little awkward after a while. More importantly, there are no stunners! Many girls have all natural bodies, but their bodies are not like smoking hot, gym model type of hot. And many of them have something done on their faces, like a nose job or botox, while those who don't are just not that pretty or a little bit old.

I will check out other top tier termas in Rio later, but my hunch is that the other places are more or less the same.

As a tourist / gringo. The short answer is yes. Scandello is much bigger in size and number of girls than any of the places in Rio so just numbers wise, you would have a higher percentage of finding what you are looking for.
