It's the middle of bumfuck nowhere pampanga. Ain't no body with an ounce of common sense going to invest in that. Sure, Clark freeport zone gets some business due to being a freeport area, but all the talk of turning the rest of AC into some kind of tourism hub has been nothing but wishful thinking.

The one thing the place had going for it (after military money left) was that it attracted high paying tourists (and business minded people) with girlie bars and cheap pussy galore, once they started to try to clamp down on that the tourist money quickly dried up and the area has been on its knees since. Sure, the Koreans came in with a bit of cash but what true changes / improvements are we seeing in infrastructure (other than another new arcade / cafe / restaurant / refurbished bar) compared to the early 2000's-2015 ish where new hotels and condos and even SM mall were springing up left, right and center?

The bigwigs with bright ideas have been trying to reinvent AC for close to a decade now, and all they have to show for it is more dilapidated buildings and that long ass new mall / complex that still leaks through the roof whenever it rains.

Take away the girls and AC is just another very unattractive provincial town. There was hope that Clark would be Manila's airport, that's now over with the new airport at Bulacan. AC is dying with it's main revenue source drying up.

My reliable source says the customers and bargirls are getting upset with the new pricing. Customers are not barfining as much and girls are upset of the lack of barfines.

The girls have been told by management that their daily salary will be decreasing by a significant amount.

The cure for high prices is high prices!

I used to travel to Thailand a lot and things were great. Then the waves of tourists arrived saying " I pay more because it's cheaper than back home". Consequently prices went up dramatically. I had girls complain to me that they could not get barfined, but they refused to lower prices, so they got nothing. We are seeing this play out in AC. The barfines are way overpriced for the quality. The girls will complain, but they will not reduce prices. So it will end up like BKK, stupid prices for poor service. I don't visit AC because overall it's poor value while consuming awful food in a very unattractive town.
