Getting with regular girls in Medellin is almost impossible for Americans. Especially as a white guy. They know we are there for hookers, so a regular girl wouldn't be caught dead with us because people will think she is a hooker.

They don't treat me badly often. This was the first or second time that happened. Either way me stopping from going isn't going to put a dent in the Isla's pocket I calculated it and seems like they make 100 k revenue every month. If like 300 people come in throughout the course of a week. I went on Halloween and the place was empty the waiter came up to me and was like you going to drink broski and I said nothing and he left me alone. It's the even that out a stick up their booty. That's why I'm not going during events. Not going is definitely going to put a dent in my fun tho. Seeing as there isn't many other places that has better quality for the price.

I read other threads but when it comes to this thread I occasionally have an unpleasant feeling. Flaming and shade-throwing here is sky-high. Too many guys comparing their dick sizes on the keyboard.

Can we try to keep this to experiences and information sharing thread only. I know the city has become weekend warrior paradise. Everyone including me contributed to this but I think it's just changing times. Newbies are even worse. The rider who picks me up is a mid sixties older gentleman who looks like a Latino. We talk and he tells me he is from Medellin. I tell him I love paisas. We hit it off.

His 22 year old daughter who goes by Camila has been here in the US for the past 3 years and he has been visiting her every six months or so. What was fucking interesting is what this chica was doing. She is a stripper at one of the premium stripclubs. I didn't*believe*him initially. He showed me pics of the family and then took me to the actual stripclub. Lo and behold, the girl is working the night shift and was drinking with 2 patrons. She looks up and recognizes the dad and smiles at me. I get a couple of beers for me and him and sit at the bar area. Within 10 min DJ announces Camila onstage. She has great stage presence and moves well. I look at the dad and he is looking at me smiling and winking while Camila is topless and working the pole.

What an interesting day. I couldn't*believe*it. I thought Colombians are more religious and prudish compared to bundas.

Has anyone had luck (or trouble) picking up an Uber at MDE when you arrive after midnight? My flight arrives at 1:30 AM. I'm guessing taxi might be my only option?

Don't sweat it bro, Ubers easy even that hour but might be 20-30 mil more which is more than fair. I used them 3 wks ago similar time.

A US citizen who had arrived in the capital of Antioquia to celebrate his birthday was burned to death after suffering an accident in an apartment in El Poblado.

The tragic case occurred on October 27 in a building located on the fourth floor of the Chapelet building. That day Andrew Adesheye Shotoyo was in the apartment located on Calle 2 Sur and Carrera 18, LOS Naranjos neighborhood, visiting a friend who had invited him to the property.

Based on a judicial report known to Q'HUBO, the wife of this 39-year-old foreigner's friend approached a fireplace that ran with alcohol. When she tried to light it apparently with gasoline, the flames reached the pimpina that she had in her hands. Out of her fright, the woman threw her, with such bad luck that she fell to the gringo and his companion.

The flames reached 40% of the American citizen's body and also caused serious burns to his friend, another man from the United States.

Both were helped by the people who were in the property and taken to a care center. Finally, Andrew Adesheye Shotoyo ended up in the burn ward of the San Vicente Fundacióand Hospital, receiving medical attention.

The man had to be intubated because the flames affected his airways. So after fighting for his life for 7 days, he died despite the doctors' efforts.

The death of this foreigner is added to that of another countryman that occurred last October 31 , in a hotel in Provence. That morning and in a bathtub, Jhony Jerome was found without vital signs. The causes of the death of this man, who was turning 45 that day, remained to be established.

The authorities are trying to determine if he died of scopolamination, since hours before he had been chatting with 2 women, or if his death was due to some other circumstance.

No problem at all. At any time. I prefer the Ubers vs the taxis. Because taxis scams. The ride from the airport is like 90 to 100 k. If you go back to my first post ever you will see I paid 200 k to my first taxis because I didn't know any better.

Thanks to both you and to Knowledge. I definitely prefer Uber. I've never been had by the taxi drivers. I always use the white taxis outside and always confirm the price before I get in. I think last time was 98 K or something like that. I was just worried that ubers wouldn't be as plentiful in Rio Negro at that hour.

Went to la isla at 11 pm November 3. They had an event. Egyptian theme.

It was the most packed I've ever seen. Cover was 70 k instead of the usual 50 k. So when they say the cover was 80 k that one time I believe it now. When I left at 2 am over heard English guy say they raised it to 75 k.

Talked to a guy while I was there. He was drinking coke I was drinking electrolit. Well off dude. Mate said he has no problem buying a bottle but even though there were some seats place was packed an he said he asked waiters if they would bring to a seat and bring him a bottle. He had no problem paying for the bottle but the waiters for some reason were saying nah. So mate left. No girls no drinks.

I asked the girl the best ass there to go upstairs she said later she got to get propina. I'm like ok I'll wait. She did 500 rounds asking for propina. It was like 5:30 I'm like fuck this I'm going to ask another girl. I did her before last year. He ass is smaller this time but she will do. She says the same thing. Got to get propina and do rounds. The bus, uber, and didi are 24/7. Taxis are available but they will want to charge a premium at that hour. Have a safe and enjoyable visit.
