I don't eat burgers and fries in thailand. Amber sukhumvit 88 is clean and is less than $35. It's in On Nut but I'm reasonably sure it isn't the only clean hotel for that price in Thailand.

Do you have reading comprehension problems or memory problems? Go back to Bangkok Reports and quote the post where I was looking for armed security at a ATM. Medical Treatment is reasonable even if you are paying out of pocket. But I am sure you have insurance. Use it to see the eye doctor and if your eyes are fine go see a mental health specialist. Bangkok hospital offers excellent care. But I am told by my girls it is very expensive.

I haven't eaten much outside the Mexican there, I love their San Diego Burrito with the french fries inside. Cost wise its the same as every place else down there, you are walking out paying $10-15 (equiv) for food.

They are open all night too, so you can catch the 3 am matches.

Its less obnoxious there than places like Stumble Inn, Hillary, etc.
