Just a report on the ground from Sabang..

I like these anthropological reports much better than ones on some anonymous hooker or other.

Just a report on the ground from Sabang.

We'll I got here without trouble yesterday (see my previous report on how get to Sabang and back from Manila). I think the only thing that has changed is it seems to be cheaper. Jam Liner bus from Buendia MNL to Batangas 260 p, Fastcat from Batangas to Puerto Galera 650 p and a tuk tuk from the port to Sabang only 250 p!

It wasn't long before I checked into my usual waterfront hotel (with an upgrade to a brand new room as a return customer). Many would note I prefer Sabang as a mongering destination as it's actually has a nice water view and isn't a shithole like some other options. Many would also note I don't do the typical gogo scene, preferring to filter the money saved on LD's and Barfines in other directions.

It wasn't long before I had my Sabang GF in the room. I read all of them again, and I enjoyed, just like the first time I read it, great reports, but that's not the info I was looking for. Just need basic info on touristy stuff, transportation, things to do (I'll be staying there for a month), and what to avoid.

I just did this exact trip and posted near daily reports. Just search my username. I didn't post on civilian things to do but I did include convenient places to stay, a few accommodation disasters and of course girl reports.

I didn't do Hotlegs and the bars because I couldn't keep up with the online options. To be honest I haven't heard a single good report about the DVO Gogos but YMMV.

My only regrets from the trip was that I didn't go to Gensan and surprise surprise the stay was too short.

Last Night I took the decision, that I stayed for too long in one place, and it's time to explore new places, I ditched my 1 peso airplane tickets for BKK, (the flight is today), canceled the hotel in the last moment, and started looking on the map.

I've been to Mindanao but only in the norther part to Siargao, Surigao, and Butuan, this time I want to fly into Davao, stay there for a month if is nice, then crawl slowly north for a few months. I will do this with my GF, and she will hunt for us, bringing in fresh meat if available and good looking.

What's the good, the bad, and the ugly about Davao? In what area should I look for a rental? What places to avoid? And what is there to do from a non mongering perspective?

I know that because being a mongering addict, probably I will visit the Rizzal st area at some point, but that's not the main objective for this trip.

No problems. Happy to help. With respect, you seem to be suffering from analysis paralysis and finding reasons why every location won't work. Remember that there is pussy everywhere in SEAsia. Especially so if you're not insisting on the hottest 10's. The best times that I have had have all been surprises while trips planned to the nth degree have never gone as expected.

I'd suggest you settle on the location with the best fit, rather than seek the perfect solution, then turn up with a full wallet and stiff dick. Ask around and the rest will take care of it's self.

It all ended one day after she came back from a photoshoot, and acted very very weird, not as her usual drunkennes, I asked and she told me at the afterparty there was cocaine, that night she was all paranoid, wanting more, and trying to get more, making phone calls, etc. I ended up locking her out of her own house, screams, and bangs, luckily no close up neighbors to call the police, she made her way in thru an upstairs balcony, I have no idea how she claimed up there, and there was a lot of yelling then crying once she was in, of course I didn't close one eye all night long, I booked a flight, and in the morning before she wake up I was gone, couldn't do it earlier, because in that remote corner of the island close to Turda city there are no trikes or motorbikes roaming around at night. That was the final drop that made me leave, beside the 50 $/ day for her wine, I didn't mind the food and occasional expenses.
