Either your not having visa master card? Or your charged as a hotel type business service on your card by classic?

Visa master do block your card if they have issues with grey area business or back home country banks ethics or get flagged or even staff could swipe your card to be charged later and you end up with cancelled card.

If you stay only a week or two versus these staying months maybe better not use cards at these type of places?

BTW you should calculate total cost not just $23 per one.

I have a capital one venture x which is a visa card. Just shows up as "NEW CLS. Other Services - $23.66". Nothing really to worry about. If it doesn't work I have cash on hand. If I get random charges I dispute pretty easily. If you don't care about BBFS then you're giving the girl a 100 k tip at most. Which is like another $6 I guess. There's not really any other costs.

In the past, I thought I saw references of the old alleyways on the same Jalan as New Wijaya 77, but further north on Jl Gedong Panjang just past the railroad tracks near Jl Rw Bebek Selatan. I'm not sure if that place was demolished by government order or if it survived demolition and may have reopened. Sounds like your Train Tracks was actually a different place, along the same train tracks, but further west just a few hundred meters. The alley wasn't at the Train Track grade level, I heard it was underneath it. But yeah, I don't know if it's permanently closed or not.

As for bored or cheap, sometimes I wonder if it's either. Probably just stupid and adventurous. That's how I felt walking the alleys near Gajah Mada and Mangga Besar. The alleys are dirty dirty dirty, and old women try to pull you inside to show you who's available. Inside the apartments, where each room is totally lived in, are the rejects of the business.
