I agree there is a stereotype issue that Indians have to overcome. You got a billion people out there and a few bad ones can make it difficult for the rest.

No. Because they don't even know anything about a Rolex or designer clothes. All of their stuff comes from Shopee or off the motorbike for 100 baht. Maybe if you were around a Bangkok fashionista, but not with these country bar girls. They are not materialistic in the least. All they know is baht.

Makes me laugh to read somebody rates important to have an important watch (brand) at its wrist, when fakes are offered and sold at every bar and restaurant by a multitude of sellers.

I agree with Mr E and LBM. Nice clothes and jewelry are not necessary. I keep freshly showered and shaven, I wear clean cargo shorts, T-shirt, tennis shoes (or sandals), and a plastic Timex. Occasionally, I'll wear a nicer shirt, but it doesn't seem to affect how I'm treated.

I have an opposite concern. Suppose I wore designer clothes and a Rolex. Would the bar girls overwhelm me and push me to ring the bell? Would that 1500 baht bar girl demand 3000 baht because she thinks I'm rich? I prefer my appearance be that of a kind man of normal means.

I don't doubt seen it first hand Indians getting turn away from entry into GoGo clubs. But as I noted majority of the clubs are owned by foreigners the Thais door guys are just doing as told.

Like Mr. E, I have never worn a long pants here in Twenty years even around 8-10 years there was a real cold spell during Christmas and New Years. But I'm clean, dress in shorts, clean nice shirt, and always shaved last I'm old, Chinese American (person of color) not any longer LOL, today consider more a spy to both countries China and USA can't get a break any longer.

There are times my looks I'm mistaken, in the beginning it was Korean, Japanese, Thai, today you can add in Chinese, If I tell them Chinese first and foremost I'm from China, tell them NO there is a difference I'm no Communist I'm made in the USA A LOL.

Today, except at one or two places girls I know I do not buy drinks, my theory at particular clubs there is a time limit particularly from my experience PIN UP, XS, CHICKS, if you order a draft on busy nights that is a cue for waiters to check you bill every few minutes. Being Asian first thing they give me the drink card I politely order Sangsom straight up this seem to buy me at least to view the 3 rotations.

It is true and sad that previous Indian visitors ruin the market for others with Thais they follow the pipe piper many have no proof of the stereo type they just follow what is told by others. Thais have many forms or racism and prejudice I experience it all the time living with them.

It's weird tho. One time I was walking at night and girls on bikes were approaching the groups of Indian guys and propositioning them. I heard one girl say 700 for massage as she rode up to Indian guys.

The girls wouldn't approach me for some reason. I'm a white guy. This was inland just a few streets from Soi 6, probably a 10 minute walk from Soi 6 just outside my hotel.

Because you know how to operate. If you took one look at me you would laugh, although I my soccer jerseys are never wrinkled and I don't wear flip flops. Yet, I am treated like a god.

I am not Indian, but I will get you started with the following:

These clubs continually discriminate against Indians. I have witnessed first hand the horrible behavior of the door guys at all these clubs.

I'm not Indian, but I'm not East Asian or Caucasian either. Im American but Im also a person of color.

I have been going to Walking Street go-gos for over a decade. I can only speak for Walking Street because I don't really go to LK Metro, Soi 6, etc.

The reason Indians are treated poorly by WS go-gos is because they don't spend money. Fair or not, that is their reputation and stereotype. This is what Walking Street bargirls have told me directly. Indians have a reputation to go inside the club with 3-4 guys, they nurse 1-2 cheap beers, they don't buy lady drinks, staff drinks, or barfines, and basically they're taking up space for someone, especially an East Asian who will spend money.

There are two groups of people that security doors guys typically do not let in: local Thai men and Indian groups. Only way they're possibly getting in is with a bribe to security. Fair or not, those are the facts.

SWIM suggests in Thailand and Pattaya. If you have to spend MORE money than the next guy to get the SAME girls. Then you getting GOT. Pure and simple you are apparently deficient in one or more of the following categories: looks, charm, game, common sense, self confidence, hygiene, personality, or the "it" factor.

And that old, short, fat, hairy, ugly, bald guy will simply claim that you are deficient in your bank account.

My girl drives Bolt and does tours for foreigners. She said they can pick people up outside. If they go inside to pick up the taxi mafia will get angry. Even if there is a taxi outside at the curb they can not pick up near that taxi. She said there are signs at the bus station saying Bolt and Grab can not go inside to pick people up. Lumpini Condos in Naklua and Jomtien are the same way because they have taxi stands.

She said one day she was picking a friend up from the bus station and a taxi guy approached her angry asking what she was doing inside. She said picking up my friend. He wanted her to open her phone to show him she was not using the app. She told him he was crazy. They have their Line and Facebook groups talking about all the shit.

I have been picked up or dropped off by a Bolt driver inside the North Pattaya Bus Terminal about four times this year, without any problems.

My guiding family and friends around the last month for some personal business and entertainment is near over. Good to see them but it can be tiring.

The big plan was to go into Bangkok, meet with lawyers to handle a personal matter for a friend due an unexpected operation prior to coming running around to particularly Ted99 which I was really hoping but it got cancelled business done straight back to Pattaya.

Most of the entertainment was on the Darkside of Pattaya with the GClubs, most BF were made at the Dao Bar, between Soi Nernpludwan and Khao Noi, In house, the room is very nice 300-500 BF, girls take more than happy to take 1000 baht ST and 2000 LT. Didn't expect any young types nor looks but service was very good this coming from others. I tried a few months back but the two that I did try were now gone. Out of 10, there was two max that stood out from the others.

I wrote earlier we did venture up to Maggie Mays prior to the Grand Opening place is nice but no short time rooms behind the curtain not my scene.

When you get to a certain age eating is more important at least to me and my group a number of them are a tick away from their death bed but are very well off where money is no problem. Many of our nights out from the Darkside for Dinner started on 3rd Road down a KM, or more from Soi Pothole restaurant Steak House called BULLS very good food.

We hit on the nights out majority of every GoGo on LK, found the asking BF and girl price not on par with their looks. The one off Soi 15, Playgirls had about 3 found it to be the most crowded of them all to fit our group we were given I guess the VIP behind the curtain area on one side. I can't remember the BF, but I remember 3500/4000 being thrown out by one girl. From there we walked outside and tour Soi Boomerrang and ended up at Heaven Above. Somewhat interesting a hybrid type of place GoGo and GC, girls would dance on table or booth one sits like most of LK places there are all shape, sizes and ages. I saw one older doing a show I would have BF but she went back after the show I never came back out. Certainly a place I would go back for a drink or two on a later date myself.

Walking Street, on a number of evenings, we hit, Pin Up, 79, XS, Chicks, many agree that PinUp had the best lineup but returning on other nights not the case. Majority of our visits were just looking and drinking their hard liquor straight up. Thanksgiving with a smaller group of 5 decided Bacarra, last time I was there was a year ago there were still a few girls from years back I knew one I see regularly on the side ended up with my cousin BF 1800, she took 5000 baht LT this was after buying 10,000 in drinks for her friends and a few staff. I and another sat away from him since I wanted to check the girls on stage and didn't want to be constantly ask to buy drinks. This time the two mamasan I've known for years just said Hello, and didn't stand asking for tips and drinks. My friend ended up buying a drink for one girl and another friend both real looker asking price was 4000ST, and a whopping 7800 baht for LT, I was thinking now that is a funny number. That was a cue to pay up and leave.

Walked across to Pin Up, stayed for the 3 rotation the girls we saw on the first visit, on this 3rd visit were no where to be seen or found. I too would admit line a month ago was the tops.

Walked down to Shark, I was there about a month ago, a former dancer I have known for years older works as a waitress with her Tom Daughter LOL the line up a month ago was so and so. This time it was much different as I was spotted by my waitress friend personally less girls working but I though the line up tonight was the best in our entire trip I would rate Bacarra as number two. My standard has always been I'm not looking for young and stunners, late 20's, Mid 30's 5'3 taller with the heels, nice legs, ass, mature personality and a sense they are going to perform at least in theory.

In conversation my cousins friend from H. K does like them young but I had him guess the age of my two waitress friends he took a good look face body and said 31,36, girls responded 49,51 he split out his drink and said loudly " no fucking way " he ended up with a so called super model, talk with braces 20 year old BF 2000,4000 for ST, buying drinks for old time sake with these two girls I noticed many of the dancing girls were jealous staring over at our table in the middle thinking what the hell is going on, bunch of waitress getting more drinks that we are getting. I even met the Mamasan who is 51, I was thinking silently hell I do her she has to be the best looking mamasan takes care of herself.

Now to the best part of the trip! Majority of our Saturday have been spent at my favorite GC, Kinnarree, Saturdays. In all the years I've lived here I have never tried the food which on Saturday is their dry rub ribs and Brisket. If you live here and can't return to the States like Texas it is damn good. On this day more freelancers show up many in my group got their FB contacts two in my group hooked up with girls in their mid-twenties quality can easily work in Gogo's to stay majority of their trip exclusively with them. ST, with them started at 2000 at their resort, deal was they would get 6000 baht a day. That was great for me since I didn't have to shuttle them around I just handle the van over to them put it back later with gas. LOL.
