My point was that there are still countless hookers in the USA regardless of it being illegal or how much you have to pay them. Prostitution was only outlawed 100 years ago and a small group of people (as you said, puritans, who were by far not the majority and not even near 1%) were responsible for undertaking that, not "the cultural attitudes to sex. " One click on youtube, tiktok, onlyfans, etc and you will see that Americans are not prudes and that sex is literally selling widely.

Just because there are a lot of tutes in the States doesn't mean there is no cultural bias there towards prostitution. There is that bias, and it's what keeps prostitution illegal in most parts of the United States. There is a strong American cultural bias against prostitution, and I think that sucks! Places like Brazil are superior to America in this regard.

After traveling much of the world, I have definitely learned that we are very fortunate to be citizens of either the USA or the modern wealthy westernized world. We travel to other countries to take advantage of the differences in the cultural attitudes to sex. But I think it is incumbent upon us to demonstrate a little but of understanding, restraint, and even a little of bit of compassion. Although these ladies aren't being physically forced into this work, I am sure its not how they saw their life turning out. Don't take my post too personally. It was tongue in cheek and I complain about the loss of the good old days as much as anyone.

I'd definitely agree that we are fortunate that it has been the Koreans and not the Chinese. Maybe 20 years ago it was looking like the Chinese were taking over several of the foreigner areas. I don't think they did much in AC but they were moving in on one of my favourites, Sabang. Rather than Koreans showing a preference for their own, the Chinese were operating a total lockout model where everything was kept inhouse through tours prepaid back home and the use of affiliated restaurants, hotels bars etc. It wasn't Whitie complaining about all the good girls being taken, he didn't even get to see them in the first place and he wasn't even allowed in.

What I don't like is the transformation of places from something beautiful and true to its nature: bars filled with almost naked "destitute and illiterate single mom's and peasant girls" into places where they are presented as something else, evening dressed hollywood gala stars. I just don't like the new acquiring system put in place by our korean friends for the same old goods.

As consumers, guys like us are in our right minds. But it makes perfect sense from a business standpoint. Who would not buy lipstick to put on the pig if they realized people would pay more?

Yes, it is true throughout Latin America, you hear old timers complaining about Western guys coming over and jacking up the prices of the local girls. Check out the threads on Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico and the list goes on. Like the Koreans coming to Angeles City, cities in Latin America are much closer to American cities. Cities in Mexico are 2 hours away from cities in Texas. Costa Rica is only 2-3 hours from cities in Florida. And yet, here we are in Angeles City which is very close to South Korea and Westerners are whining and complaining about these Koreans coming over and jacking the prices just like we have done throughout Latin America. I never complained about the prices, it is what it is, not under our direct control, of course I like to pay less, I'm not a crazy or a millionaire, just an old pervert, but $20 more or less doesn't make a difference to me unless I feel like getting scammed on something, and then is not about the money anymore.
