I assume there are two major types of bars in AC with the first being the girly bars like Insomnia where the majority of the girls inside will be dressed similar and therefore the ones available for takeout at barfine rates. The second would be more or less nightclubs where there might be lots of local groups of 'non-working' girls in different street or night out to party clothes dancing and drinking together. I think these are more like public bars and although some of these local girls might be available for take out, they would be freelancers not working under that nightclub's rules.
The nightclub type of bars would therefore be the hotspots to party for young folks locals and tourists alike. For older guys like me and my buddy who are both in our 60's, I'm thinking that it's the girly bars that would be the primary spots for us and the nightclub type of bars would be a complete waste of time (and probably too darn loud anyway) for us. Our main objective coming to AC is to monger rather than spend time trying to smooze any young non-working locals.
That's good, probably higher quality too, but by living in Singapore more likely you're making big money, and can afford to spend it there. Me on the other hand I'm not making any anywhere, just spending it, so I stay away from expensive places as much as possible, for example I'm going to Singapore only if flying some place from there, or going on a cruise that starts there, or maybe meeting some friends. I do travel a lot, but mostly to relatively cheap destinations. I like it in the PH, but I'm also maybe forced by circumstances to hang around here mostly, anyway I'm trying to make the best out of it.
Living somewhere is a totally different equation. You have so many better options than an AC bar girl and sounds you have a good GF situation as well. So enjoy!
I think this is the new way of life, people become famous not for discovering the cure for cancer, or inventing the longitudinal sliced bread, but for the most idiotic, make no sense reasons (see Kardashians), we just have to adapt, because there is no reset button, and it will get worse, the movie Idiocracy is an accurate glimpse into the future.
Somebody sent me this great pic, that says a lot about this situation.
That pic / quote sums it up nicely!
I'm going way off topic here but I've been to some war graves / memorials where the youngsters are taking selfies with that ridiculous two finger pose and pouting / smiling. Not one of them stopped to read the the information provided and actually learn something about those that made the ultimate sacrifice. Only interested in a selfie to put on their insta. I had to bite my lip as I found it incredibly distasteful.
I totally agree, all of them a a form a life equal to bacteria. They don't care about anything but getting views. Hopefully the Philippine Government will start throwing some of these aHoles in Jail.

And some vloggers stop every girl they see in the street that looks like a FL and start asking about prices and services when they have no intention of taking them home ie just wasting the time of someone trying to make a living.
Then it is supposed to shock online that there are actually hookers on earth. What is the big fucking deal in seeing some hookers? These young folks are crazy.
I have very little sympathy for many of the vloggers. They will potentially ruin someone's life with those videos. Yes it's a public place etc but it still annoys me.

How intrusive were those videos that they elicited such a response and how bad were the beatings? It seems this was a cordianted attack, pointing to a mafia and, if vloggers are fair game, who else is?
I think Joe Q Citizen is fairly safe from assault simply walking down Walking Street. Now, potentially destroying someone's life or damaging businesses run by potentially very shady people, all for the sake of a vlog, and 'fuck around and find out' is likely to appear very quickly.

It all depends on the length of stay. Many have commented that if only staying a week or so and paying for flights, accomm, 5 k shots etc, then all in it's cheaper to stay at home. OTOH, being retired or on extended holiday and heading out into the provinces, swings the balance the other way.
After the black guy you mentioned, a few guys were beaten up mostly by "security" staff both local and Korean. There have also been a few white on white fights but more alcohol induced than anything.

Not so bad then. But lesson still applies to those flying in from US / EU etc. I live in Singapore and don't even bother to go there anymore. I can fuck Thai girls locally for less money than a AC bar girl.

Never heard of that. I am and one viderp thugh it is very unlikely to do me dagage in the unlikely event anyone of consequence sees it.
I checked out the youtube channel the guy mentioned and they are very intrusive, not as bad as the black Yank, wh thouhgt every woman was a hooker but sticking videoes into people's faces is not nice. Were hey to do that in a Western red light district, say Amsterdam or LA, there would be immeidiate consequences. Plus, there is no information there but the voyeur market is huge.
Who did the beatingup, locals or "tourists"?

I thought they cracked down on filming on WS at night after a few streamers got the shit kicked out of them??
I'll admit I felt sorry for them but now lots of the things they do are inviting retribution.G.

Being filmed or photographed on WS has always been an issue. You take the chance of being discovered. A few screen-shots from the IRL Media reels attached.

Another worry is the multitude of videos on youtube showing clearly guys walking home with their newly aquired girls. See youtube user 'IRL Media PH' if you need to see an example. The risk of being caught like this is probably quite low, but the consequences would be devastating.
