Thailand doesn't sell the girls. There might be a debatable point on whether the various establishments are selling the girls, but I doubt if most consumers are interested in that discussion. What is offered for sale is no different from any commodity anywhere in the world. Purchasing power rests with the consumer. However, just a few minutes is all it takes to find young, fit and beautiful women who will happily trade services for money. Getting consistent good service requires being a good customer. It doesn't require being the right race or paying more. If everywhere you go you get bad service, that's all on you. Go to Do Son in Vietnam or Siem Reap or even north of Vientiane in the Chinese run brothel city or any of the border cities with China or even China now with 40% unemployment for girls aged 18-24.

Neither Vietnam nor China is next to Thailand, and since the Philippines consists of about 7500 islands it's going to be a long swim to get to Vietnam or China.

How long you've been mongering is irrelevant. If you want to get technical, my first mongering experience was 45 years ago. However, there was a 30 year period, when I seldom had time or desire to pay for what I was getting for free. Once I was no longer interested in putting forth the effort, I took the easy, pay as you go route.

There are a few things which intrigue me. First, how can a self-proclaimed, highly intelligent man (something you've failed to demonstrate), not recognize the inescapable reality of YMMV? Now for everyone else, Pattaya really isn't my cup of tea. I can recognize why so many people are so passionate about it. It's quick and easy to find a red light district, I did it without even trying. Getting around is a breeze. Options for mongering are unlimited. In my experience, the women are either quite passionate or quite willing to make you believe they are passionate. Although my sample size is small, things like DFK and BBBJ are more readily available than in Colombia. No girl asked me for a tip, or offered extra services for an upcharge. No girl appeared disappointed when I offered no tip.

Food, lodging and common items are cheap. Baht buses are cheap and convenient. 7-11's are everywhere, the food is quite good and everyone has a smile for you (unless you walk around constantly whining). At no point did I feel any safety or security issues, except for traffic. Even the touts and beggars were easy to deal with.
