I will have soon a stopover in BKK for 8. 5 hours. I think about having 2 hours of fun.

I am staying at the Marriott on Soi22. Picked this place because of the proximity to nana plaza and the other areas.

I am posting my perceptions and my experiences, this is not to offend anyone or a dig on what others like.

I have visited nana plaza and the other gogo bars multiple times now and I just can't come to pick anyone. The girls seemed average to below average to me. I haven't visited thermae cafe yet.

For me the best seems to be Tara and Maria. Poseidon was also not that great in terms of the quality of the girls. I am meeting some girls from seeking a Thai friendly and will report back on those experiences. Met 1 girl from TF and she wasn't that great.

I totally agree with this solution. I've already tried going back and forth between the airport and Sukhumvit MRT station (blue line) on a tight schedule several times. I leave my suitcase at the airport luggage storage (Level 2 I think I remember).
It's better to take the Airport Rail Link to Makkasan (10 minutes walk between Makkasan and Petchaburi) and then the MRT to Sukhumvit. We have better control over travel times, and public transportation is reliable in Bangkok.

For your information, my transit times from soi 22 (several massage shops there), to the Thai Airways Suvarnabhumi lounge 2 weeks ago:

Times:

- 1:30 PM - Arrival at Massage shop soi 22 (first street on the right, right sidewalk).
- 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM - Oil massage, boom boom, and showers (2000 B / 1 hour)
- 2:30 PM - Departure for Sukhumvit MRT (walk).
- 2:40 PM - 3:30 PM - Sukhumvit (MRT) > Petchaburi > Makkasan (Airport Rail Link) > Arrival at Suvarnabhumi Station. Max waiting time between trains at Makkasan: 15 minutes, I think.
- 3:30 PM - 3:40 PM - Go up to the 4th level, get my ticket at the Thai Airways Gold counter, go through baggage check (very fast) and immigration check at the terminals (very fast with the new control terminals).
- 3:40 PM - departure : - Shower and prepare suitcase for the trip, eat and drinks at Thai Airways lounge.

Prices : MRT Sukhumvit > Petchaburi = 17 B + Railway Makkasan > Suvarnabhumi = 35 B.

In any case, it's best to know where go and what we are going to do, before.

My estimate for nearly worst case times are:

2 hours from touchdown to departure from airport.
2 hours via taxi from BKK airport to lower Sukhumvit.
2 hours via taxi from lower Sukhumvit to BKK airport.
2 hours from airport arrival to your gate.

It's highly unlikely that all of these worst case times would come on the same day. It is more likely that only half those times would be required. If you are comfortable navigating with rail link and BTS, the risk with taxi time would be reduced. Don’t forget that there is the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card system, I’ve never done it, but it is said to be quick and simple.

Your arrival time is too early for Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza go go bars. Large numbers of street freelancers won't be available until later, though there are always a few. Was just in Cockbang two weeks ago. When I left from the Citin Sukumvit 11 my driver was slightly late to pick me up. This was a very unusual situation for me because the serve I use is on point and usually early. When the driver arrived he explained to me that he had allowed plenty of time to get from his drop-off at BKK proper in order to get to my hotel. Told me is took him 1 hours and 25 minutes.

So now the OP is in the middle of the debouchery with 6. 5 hours left on the clock. When does he have to get back to the Airport for a International Flight? If you subtract travel time then you are at 5 hours. Minus arrival time back at the airport.

My suggestion is my opinion. Travel times / Immigration and Customs clearing times are facts. The OP is a grown man can do what he wants.

Do not underestimate the traffic and the time it takes to move around Cockbang; Knowing what I know (and I will be the first to tell you that it is very little), I do know traffic in Cockbang. Because the majority of my trips are to handle business that I simply cannot in Pattaya.

My suggestion is: To book a room close to the airport that is guest friendly and have the girls come to you. Knowing what I know about the traffic in Cockbang I would not want to hassle of trying to get to and from the red-light district. On Thai Friendly when I am at BKK proper there has never been a lack of girls that were interested in meeting me thinking I was close to the Airport.

Coming from Tokyo I will have 8.5 h layover in BKK. I want to use this short time for mongering. My dream is to either take 2 ladies or try a LB. However due to the short time, what do you recommend?
