I've read however, that Thai Airways is working on getting back into the game with non stop flights to Thailand from JFK. I think it might happen this year. That might make it a bit more bearable for me.

When Thai Air did have a route it was a 16 hour flight to Los Angeles. I would think it is just the Thai government talking shit with a bunch of wishful thinking as they usually do. Right before those articles came out, the prime minister was in the news begging the USA to make a route to Thailand, because it is a losing route and they did not want to be the ones taking the hit.

I am staying at the Marriott on Soi22. Picked this place because of the proximity to nana plaza and the other areas.

I am posting my perceptions and my experiences, this is not to offend anyone or a dig on what others like.

I have visited nana plaza and the other gogo bars multiple times now and I just can't come to pick anyone. The girls seemed average to below average to me. I haven't visited thermae cafe yet.

For me the best seems to be Tara and Maria. Poseidon was also not that great in terms of the quality of the girls. I am meeting some girls from seeking a Thai friendly and will report back on those experiences. Met 1 girl from TF and she wasn't that great.

I understand Tara and Maria are expensive and not for everyone but I am comparing that to what I get back home. The facilities are great, girls are hot and the price is approximately 300 USD for 90 minutes. IMO nothing beats that convenience. I did see some models who were around 35 K baht. I totally agree with this solution. I've already tried going back and forth between the airport and Sukhumvit MRT station (blue line) on a tight schedule several times. I leave my suitcase at the airport luggage storage (Level 2 I think I remember).
It's better to take the Airport Rail Link to Makkasan (10 minutes walk between Makkasan and Petchaburi) and then the MRT to Sukhumvit. We have better control over travel times, and public transportation is reliable in Bangkok.

For your information, my transit times from soi 22 (several massage shops there), to the Thai Airways Suvarnabhumi lounge 2 weeks ago:

Times:

- 1:30 PM - Arrival at Massage shop soi 22 (first street on the right, right sidewalk).
- 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM - Oil massage, boom boom, and showers (2000 B / 1 hour)
- 2:30 PM - Departure for Sukhumvit MRT (walk).
- 2:40 PM - 3:30 PM - Sukhumvit (MRT) > Petchaburi > Makkasan (Airport Rail Link) > Arrival at Suvarnabhumi Station. Max waiting time between trains at Makkasan: 15 minutes, I think.
- 3:30 PM - 3:40 PM - Go up to the 4th level, get my ticket at the Thai Airways Gold counter, go through baggage check (very fast) and immigration check at the terminals (very fast with the new control terminals).
- 3:40 PM - departure : - Shower and prepare suitcase for the trip, eat and drinks at Thai Airways lounge.

Prices : MRT Sukhumvit > Petchaburi = 17 B + Railway Makkasan > Suvarnabhumi = 35 B.

In any case, it's best to know where go and what we are going to do, before.

I arrive at ca. 15:00 and fly back 23:30.

My estimate for nearly worst case times are:

2 hours from touchdown to departure from airport.
2 hours via taxi from BKK airport to lower Sukhumvit.
2 hours via taxi from lower Sukhumvit to BKK airport.
2 hours from airport arrival to your gate.

It's highly unlikely that all of these worst case times would come on the same day. It is more likely that only half those times would be required. If you are comfortable navigating with rail link and BTS, the risk with taxi time would be reduced. Don’t forget that there is the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card system, I’ve never done it, but it is said to be quick and simple.

Your arrival time is too early for Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza go go bars. Large numbers of street freelancers won't be available until later, though there are always a few. Beer bars are hit and miss and can take a lot of time to find a doable girl. I would suggest your best bet is a massage shop where your choices are sitting out front and ready to go.
