Likoni, a charming seaside resort famous for its friendly and helpful people and its irrepressible nightlife.

The nightlife scene is full of offers and entertainment. Entertainment is sometimes eternal.

This is third owner that I have seen there, probably there has been many more. One thing that never change in Legend is men's toilet. They can boast to have worst men's toilet in the Kenya coastal area. Probably in same condition as what it was then Ricky Mololo build the place. Even Hypnotica renovated men's toilet and many other things recently. And Casourina is currently working on it.

There are some people in Legend on Thursday when there is twerking show, I have not visited on other days.

Sounds like something out of a horror movie. Welcome to Africa indeed.

"The practice of placing a burning tire around a person's neck as a method of extrajudicial execution is known as necklacing. This brutal form of mob justice originated in the black townships of South Africa during the apartheid era and is still reported in various locations, including parts of Kenya like Mombasa Island."

I hear of this happening about twice per year but that was the first I witnessed it.

Ah. But they have good German style potato salad. LOL. I wonder who will be left when all ye olde drunkards smoked and drank themselves to death. The hookers aged with them. Or left to Nairobi where pesa is better. Exactly. You don't want to become one of them. Like the Baker. He didn't drink but probably smoked 2 to 3 packs a day. R. I. P. Well. Fond memories of the past. Congolese clubs fell out of fashion with the youngsters. Only old farts listen to them. The young Kenyan Crowd listens to Gengeton.

The only thing I'm missing is maharagwe in coconut sauce. You can't get that in Madagascar.

The Hardest Part is Getting Her to Leave

I wrote sometime back about hunting in Western. It's the same I do in Nairobi and on the coast. Find the best looking one and make the first move. Avoid the ones with expensive hair and nails. I've met them in "The Village" on my bike, in a town while they're walking, sent "Call me" notes when they're in a group and while riding the train, bus and Matatu. The real skill is getting rid of her.

    Better self clarification

Well I actually I was stating there's an amendment to that as a foreigner citizens won't come to your aid in recovering your items from thieves.

Forget Club Legend. I'm currently staying in an Airbnb in the building next door. Legend is unbearably loud. They have live bands on weekends. It goes on until 3:30 am, and yesterday even until 6:00 am It's impossible to sleep there on weekends.

I went there last Saturday at 11:00 am After a minute, I had a headache and left. It's impossible to have a conversation there. Casaurina is very quiet in comparison. There were only a few guests. Mostly Black people, and mostly men. Even on weekdays, there are only a dozen guests.

If the new owner doesn't make some fundamental changes, Legend will be closed again in six months.

I'll explain it to you how the Legend 2 is. Imagine that you have just become a widower, your company has fired you, it is raining heavily and when you arrive home you find that the neighbor has left the gas tap on and your house has burned down. Your cat is burned too. They took you to the recovery center and gave you a slice of buttered bread but it fell out of your hands and ended up on the ground right on the side of the butter. And it's still 10 in the morning. Well, Legend 2 is much sadder. Empty, as it deserves to be, since it is a boring place. Since the afternoon there is this group playing and no one sitting at the tables. In the evening, like yesterday which was Saturday, the situation improves and you can find 4 or 5 desperate wasungu dragging themselves in slippers doing karaoke. Surely they are the same ones who eat the cup of lentils at Zoe's. I've been here for 2 weeks but I feel like I've never moved and if it weren't for my historical friends I don't know if I would have come back here. Who knows, maybe this is really the last time. I don't want to become like them.

I like to hangaround those places, under the Eagle Nest, that pizzeria in front of Eagle nest (tea or coffee), that small bar in small street in front of Eagle nest.

Otherwise I go to Big Tree, and there you can find same people that are hanging around on Postal. But on Big Tree you it is easier to talk to girls, Bamburi community girls and lot of Mtwapa girls go there. In Eagle Nest there may be some girls.

In Postal, if you continue the street there is La Parisienne, and bars on the other side. Some musungus hang around there. And if you continue even further, there is one or two places where I see lot of musungus if I pass by. But I don't go to these places. And there is of course beach also, Copacabana. But I seldom go there. It is nice walk to go there and back, and I think that mangrove beach is interesting. But those bars, you get three different musics from three different directions, all of them too loud.

So I cannot say any new places in Postal and Mtwapa to visit. Just Eagle Nest and surroundings and Big Tree. Hmm. Cafe Series in City Mall is nice, I like to sit there and admire pretty waitresses. But you cannot talk to other tables, so you can't find girls there..
