    Motorcycle in Kenya

He was laying on his back, arms extended in the air, body half burnt with two nails through the forehead of his skull. I was told he was a serial thief and was warned many times to desist. I guess it was 75 percent of that community and are still hunting his partner.

I hear of this happening about twice per year but that was the first I witnessed it.
Are you riding an Indian made motorcycle in Kenya? I guess the taller models like the Hero XPulse. Currently holds the highest stock seat heights among Indian-made bikes in Kenya. Do you rent them?

Jambo Bora Bora is good restaurant, you get grilled chicken and fish fast and cheap and food taste good. I think pork is not on the menu since owner is so religious that restaurant is closed during whole Ramandan. So after 5 days.

Many musungus visit Jambo Bora Bora, many Big Tree customers also. I used to do that also, I got tired of waiting food in Big Tree. But after some renovations in Big Tree kitchen, food does not take so long, nowadays I am good boy and eat my food in Big Tree.

By the way, old restaurant of the Jambo Bora Bora is closed because of the road work. This current is in the same building next to old one. This big building has one owner, he owns and rents all the small business shops in this big building. There is small hotel also there or at least there was. I went there couple of time with some girls for short time. Cheapest room, rooms and bed for one person were so small that it was difficult to do the task.
Are there any short time hotels near to Big Tree? Love hotels you can rent for the hrs. Is Jambo Bora Bora is one of those places? I guess you just snatched a 2 k special at Big Tree and took her there for a ST. It must cost less than Big Tree's rates. I haven't done any ST time yet. My girls are the same in the last 3 years! It's time for me to adventure a little bit but I won't bring an ST girl to my place.

Does anyone know what happened to Pata Pata in Malindi. ?

It was a restaurant and a nightclub on the beach run by an Italian, who was the Big Shot in Malindi, with Hummer and all.

The Pata Pata nightclub was always busy. I think the guy also ran the Buddha nightclub in the shopping mall.

That is until he was deported to Italy in handcuffs, as he was wanted in Italy, Sardinia, for a multi million dollar tax fraud.
I don't know about Malindi and Pata Pata. Google Maps found Pata Pata road, but not club.

Mr Pata Pata seems to be died couple of years ago.

Actually, also Big Tree owner was kicked out from Kenya, was it a ten years ago? Sell of white powder to his Italian customers. There were several of club owners at that time who got a few hours to leave the country and 15 year of ban to arrive to Kenya. Cave owner was one of them? Cave is now with different name.

    Big Tree

Lot of negative critics about Big Tree. Big Tree is one of the central places for the musungus or expats in Mombasa. Some people go there daily from Mtwapa, to chill out, to go to beach, to eat or to look for girls.

In my opinion, best places to find girls are Big Tree in the daytime and evening and Casourina at night. You can spend short vacation by going to just these two places.

I had not realize that smoking is prohibited in the terrace or balcony, that is good. I hope smoking would be banned in all bars and clubs like in developed countries. Or just these electric cigarettes allowed, they and their users don't smell so bad.

What I want to complain in Big Tree is noise, four days a week music is too loud. I hope that other people would complain about this to management, not only me.

In Big Tree, on Wednesday there is two pizza with one prize, lot of people come. I don't understand why music need to be loud on this day.

Friday, twerking. Saturday is bikini show, I like it more than twerking. Sunday, family show, football, piano dancing. Piano dancing has been lately boys only, boring. Those four days are busiest in Big Tree.

In last days there has been cold wind coming from the sea, then there are not many people.

There are some girls that are frequenting Big Tree, especially girls from Bamburi community come there. Also girls that you meet at night in Casourina, you can find them often in Big Tree.

Also just commong girls come there to have some beach life and maybe to meet musungu, you can get a phone number easily. Eventually you need to spend money for these common gilrs also, easier just to go to professional, and faster.

Food don't take so long than it took in all previous years, that was really terrible. Some improvement have been done in kitchen at some point. Of the chairs for sunbathing I never use so I don't know anything. Toscana has good food? When I have walked by Toscana, I have looked from the entrance, it has always looked very boring, some musungus and mostly local people. No girls.

Some people say that Safari Inn has best food of the common musungu places. Some has said that Eagle Nest. Me myself, I eat either in Big Tree or Eagle Nest, since I visit them so often anyway.

There are couple of members that like to report all crimes scenes in Mombasa. Couple of weeks ago there was Captain Morgan party in Big Tree, I was also there. After midnigth, people were totally wasted and drunk, and a lot of mobile phone was stolen. I was one of those totally drunk people, but luckily I have visited local taylor and paid her 200 shillings to extend pockets in all my shorts. So it is not easy to steal phone or wallet from me. Party was lot of fun except I am not sure what happened at the end.

Talking about big party, last Saturday after Big Tree bikini party I went to Al Capone. It is new and very big place. It was full of people, and more were coming. I drunk my usual one beer and walked place around. That place is for people in groups, not guy like me who is going alone and looking for girls. There is no bar or dance floor. It is difficult to go to the group and talk to girl. Maybe if there is only two or three girls in a group.

Talking about other big party, I heard that Watamu Papa Remo has over thousand every Saturday (thousands?) , people from Mombasa go there just for that party. On Firday, Speedys bar in Watamu has 500 people. Papa Remo closes for the slow season, maybe after a month?

Big Tree accommodation and hotel rooms. Rooms are very simple and old and water is salty. Still, guys like me and you, mongerers, they keep rooms occupied, it is actually difficult to get room from Big Tree. Their higs season (double prizes in Christmas / New Years) starts much earlier and ends much later than other hotels. I recommend those who come to Kenya first time not to take room from there, take instead of neigboring Azul or Sheratton, they have normal luxury in their rooms. I prefer Big Tree.

Bora bora is the area where the petrol station is just off the main road as you would go to go to Big Tree. If you ever use a matatu the stage for Big Tree or Cheers when it was there is Bora bora. It had a night club of that name there many years ago.

It's called Jambo Bora Bora and it's right next to the gas station. The food is good and the staff is friendly, accommodating and fast.

Quite the opposite of BigTree. At the BigTree you only go to occupy a chair and drink a coffee. Or to take a prostitute.

But we are talking about low-ranking prostitutes, those with 2000 shillings, low laborers.

    Bora Bora?

To not even be able to smoke on the terrace? In the terrace!

But why do you think the rooms at BigTree have never been renovated?

The answer is: perhaps they are full of debts.

Maybe they don't give a damn about customers.

And so customers go to eat at Toscana or Bora Bora.

They drink there, not at the Big Tree.

At the Big Tree they occupy only one chair and this is the right punishment for ignorant management.

I never eat at Big Tree only stop for a drink now and then as it does have a wonderful view of the ocean or pop in on a Friday night for the pool party dancing girls if I am really bored.

Toscana I have stopped at once or twice, much better quality place.

Typical 3rd world mentality, low business, increase prices.

I do not see many girls in BT these days when I pass by.
It is the result of ignorant management. If you force people to pay 1000 shillings it means you don't understand who you're dealing with, the customer of the BigTree is not the same as the Sarova or the Sai Rock. Also, if your kitchen is bad and your rooms suck, then you're done working. Typical of those who have no experience in the sector. The consequence is that at least half of the old customers do not take the sunbed and have moved elsewhere. Me myself asked very politely to a structure very close to the BigTree to pay for a sunbed and I got it for 500 shillings (without drinks, ok) but to eat and drink I go to Toscana. A further consequence, to answer Mombie, is that the number of girls has also significantly decreased. But surely the most idiotic decision of all is to have banned smoking on the terrace. All failed decisions to try to revive a place already in evident decline for years.

They can no longer stand the rudeness of the waitresses, starting with their responsible, the fat one like a hippopotamus.

They can't stand hot beer and rubber pizza served after an hour of waiting even when the place is empty.

They can't even stand its dilapidated rooms with salt water to shower.

They can't stand not being able to smoke a cigarette after eating, because now the whole terrace is off limits.

And they can't stand the usual semi-deserted weekend evenings that bore even humans.

And so they left. That's all.
You're absolutely right, I haven't been there for a long time. Better to go to Nyali.
