It's explained in the guide but you find the shop and it has a metal door with a welcoming message in English that English-only is no problem. You open the door and put your shoes on a rack, put on slippers. If there is a line, you sit in one of the two seats to the left. You get a rule explanation first time then you pick your booth #. They give you that booth key which you first go to the locker and dump all your stuff in. All of it. The staff then does a check that you bring nothing in, to prevent recording devices. Slippers off, stand on stool, arms out, cuffs undone, shirt up briefly, turn around, then all good. You step off and back into your slippers and then take the ipad they give you and walk into your booth. Sit down, there is wet wipe dispenser (flip open the top), tissues, and a black plastic bag. There is a pen and menu so you can put in requests/coaching, there is a whiteboard you can draw on.

Feel free to jerk off as they watch, this is Japan. But you don't have to. It is normally a one-way mirror until they close the curtains to block some light and get close. Then they see a faint 'ghost' image of you especially if you are up close to the one-way mirror. Don't press on the mirror hard.

Note SG opens 3pm weekdays, 1pm weekend, with weekend being a slight premium. First-timers are invited to choose the 80 minute 3-ticket option which waives the first-timer fee. You then get a stamp card which you bring back for next time.

As far as Tokyo being a tough nut (if you think it's hard, try Taiwan!) I tend to agree but there are some gems. I've found Tokyo Hentai Club's model of catering to foreigners is great. GFE is in Kawasaki, not Tokyo. It's not very expensive either, comparatively.

Top soaplands like Kings Room are 105,000 Yen for 2 hours.

There's a reason they require longer sessions if you want nuru and a real soapland experience.

Some low end soaplands like Polaris will offer short courses, but they don't typically include nuru massage with those. They're just letting you hump a lady for 30 minutes then throwing you out the door.
