The second home visa seems like a terrible deal. It requires you deposit 2 billion IDR into a state owned bank and it has to just sit there and do nothing but lose value. The bank probably pays max 1-2% interest on a currency that has depreciated almost 20% against other major currencies the past 5 years. You also lose about 3% a year to inflation. If you have money to burn, it might be worth the convenience. But for most folks it seems like a terrible deal.

Haven't looked into the digital nomad visa. But I am pretty sure you have to show foreign income for it. Is probably great for influencers.

For day gaming, I can recommend Pacific Place, Jl Senopati, Dharmawangsa Square and little Tokyo, there you'll find the hottest chicks in all of Jakarta – from coporate chicks to hipster girls to rich kids, all covered there.

If you want to strategically position yourself in-between South and North Jakarta (so basically between Kota Indah and Senopati) to get the best of both worlds, you should stay near MRT Bundaran Hi, from there you still have access to a lot of good bars and malls where you can day game and you can reach both hot spots in North and South with in a similar timespan.

Once I have a few (normally 3-5) in the funnel, I take things slow and just hang out casually to see if we are compatible. Very non-threatening atmosphere and they quickly let their guard down. If she is cool, we will go on 2 or 3 outings and we become friends. 100% of the time, if a Thai lady goes out with a foreigner, she definitly wants to fuck them. They are just waiting on me to make move. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't (not my type for whatever reason).

If we have great chemistry, the bedroom activity will happen quickly but I have built up so much social cred, if feels organic. Even the pros / semi-pros have feelings, likes / dislikes, etc. I never take a pro / semi-pro out of a bar, gents club, or nightspot that isn't actively trying to grope / kiss me secretly. Not saying it can't happen but I have never had a lady be GFE active in public and turn it off when we are alone.

I have only been mongering for 3 years. My comparison size is fairly small (only repeat trips to Thailand and Panama). I had Jakarta on my last itinerary (Feb-Mar 2026) but I ended up having so much action in Thailand, I canceled my entire Jakarta stop. Does anybody know how it works if you go out of the country and reenter with a new visa, does the 180 countdown starts fresh?

C1 Single Entry Tourist Visa: Grants 60 days on arrival and can be extended twice (60 days per extension) for a total of 180 days.

D1 Multiple Entry Tourist Visa: Allows a 60-day stay per entry, extensible up to 180 days. After 180 days, you must leave the country, though you can re-enter with the same visa.

With Indonesia you're liable for income tax a soon as you get a long-term visa, either on worldwide income, or at least on your remitted income. There's no 180-day rule like in Thailand.

They won't enforce it.

They won't give you tax ID unless you have earnings business inside Indonesia.

But on books it is you owe taxes if more than 180 day stay.

Few other countries enforce taxes if they know you have income from outside.

Ideally each country collect what is earned in their currency but someone can answer about on book rules vs actual enforcement.

Has anyone here applied for and received the Indonesia digital nomad Visa or second home visa? Is it worth it? I just want to pay one fee one time and not have to think about it again for years. In my experience, the 30 day Indonesia e-visa for $35 is pretty limiting, single entry, valid for only 30 days, and renewable just once for another 30 days, which is a crap. I recently applied for a Brazil e-visa and got a 10 year multiple entry visa for only $80, which is a sweet deal.
