Hey all, anyone have any good tips for hotels in Rawai with no joiner fees?

Last year I spent 2 weeks in Phuket (mostly in Patong) and 2 out of the 3 hotels I booked had real ripoff joiner fees. This was the Andakira (it's a 1000 if you bring more than one girl during your stay) and Amata Patong (flat 1000 for any girl) and this policy was actively enforced.

Hopefully, this isn't the case with hotels / resorts around Rawai.

The nuru / massage places in Rawai are suppose to be decent which even eliminates the need for any guest friendly hotels since all our mongering activity can be done on site at these venues. This is what I plan to do but we need confirmation that these places include FS and are not just BJ / HJ shops.

Nuru shops in Phuket often leave people who have experienced them in Bangkok disappointed.

The Phuket shops do not include FS in their pricing, it is merely nuru massage, handjob, blowjob, sometimes no pussy touching at all.

If sex is available from the girl you have to negotiate that as an extra in the room, many times it is not available at all.

Perhaps Christins soapy in Patong might be a better choice if sex is wanted.

This is really good to know in advance. Thanks. I'll be sure to ask and confirm before committing to anything. I do recall seeing one shop's website mentioning that FS is an extra 1,000.

Thanks, I'll keep all of these in mind. I just saw via Google search some nuru shops in both Patong (a bit further away from Bangla Rd) and Rawai. Those might be even better options for me as for the mongering element.

Some notes for both ZipHead and Exotic.

The diving on a two dive day trip is excellent, but not the best possible, most of the Similans dive sites are least busy and at their best start of day and late afternoon / twilight, and that is only possible from the liveaboard boats. As to occupancy of cabins, yes, a single cabin is expensive, pretty much twice the rate, but I don't recall the request asking for a private solo cabin, so if sharing is OK, then all the short stay liveaboards are only dual occupancy, so not such an issue. As to cost, the comparative liveaboard cost per day staying overnight is highly competitive with a day trip cost plus accommodation plus meals, and it gives 3-4 dives a day being possible rather than just 2 dives, with those extra dives being at the best times of day, and without day boat divers being around.

As to Khao Lak mongering opportunities, everything is available there, in smaller numbers, massage, bar and FL, but don't expect it to be top shelf quality if that's what you want.

The challenge for you is that the mongers with good game will find the better options quicker than you do, and so it's quite possible you will find nothing you want in high season.

That is why Phuket is such a better option for your mongering, and as the base to travel to Khao Lak for your punting.

Lastly to diving in Phuket, at peak times the big boats, which the industry is based on, get fuller, busier, add that to diving with the big companies that put you in a dive group with others, strangers, less experienced than you, air hogs even, and your dives can be quite less than optimal, even at times not enjoyable at all. The diving around Phuket is great, not quite Similans, but it has sites to dive that the Similans doesn't offer, KingCruiser deep wreck, Koh Doc Mai wall dive, Koh Bida Nok blacktip sharks, Turtle Rock, aka turtles, Koh Racha Yai bay of wrecks. To enjoy these sites properly, dive one on one, just you and a fully competent experienced and committed dive guide, not just some disinterested freelancer working for a big company, or many of them, day in day out. We own our boutique dive business, myself and my wife are the only dive guides, or course instructors, we focus solely on one on one, or small known to each other groups. And there are many other small dive businesses in Phuket just like ours if you seek them out based on value, not lowest price.

Just some thoughts. I would highly recommend diving the Similans out of Khao Lak. You can do day trips from that area that are excellent. I took high speed boats three days in a row and the diving out there was world class. The liveaboards can be ok but realize if you are a solo traveler you will pay nearly DOUBLE the price the liveaboards are advertising, as most of them offer a price based on double occupancy of your cabin. Very expensive! And although Khao Lak is much quieter and laid back than Patong, there are still ladies available at the many massage shops there. I didn't see any bar girls or freelancers.

The diving near Phuket is ok, not fabulous, and the dive boats in high season are literally packed to the gills with as many as 60-70 divers every day. A zoo! Not much fun..

You should be able to achieve those prices.

I'm probably going to do this trip next year with the main objective of diving out of Khao Lak like you did and then spend a few days in Phuket area for some girl action. Would you suggest skipping the mongering altogether until I get to Bangkok and other towns afterwards to use the Phuket / Khao Lak area just for diving?

Yes, there's a definite few along there with a HJ, pretty much guaranteed, and most likely more, BJ and FS.

Hi Exoticspirit,

I'm based in Rawai, southern end of Phuket, and run a diving business, so am well qualified to give you some guidance on both mongering and diving out of Phuket and the Similans.

I'd definitely skip Khao Lak when it comes to mongering, in fact I would skip it completely as to staying there at all.

Instead I'd stay totally in Phuket, and even avoid staying there and mongering in Pataong, staying around Rawai, which is near where the Phuket diving goes out from (Chalong).

As to the Khao Lak, more so Similans diving, I would do that based on taking either a traditional 4 D3 N or 5 D4 N liveaboard, or if shorter duration is required take one of the short stay liveaboards for 2 D1 N, or 3 D2 N durations. Concentrate your accommodation and diving based out of Phuket totally as it's an easy and comfortable 2 hour van ride to and from your liveaboard, and there is lots of mongering to be had around Rawai, and even a trip into Patong for the night if you wish.

Just returned from two weeks in Patong, Phuket and a week of mostly diving out of Khao Lak. Frankly, a bit disappointed with Patong. Last trip there was in 2012.

Patong is surprisingly a lot more of a family destination now. I saw families pushing strollers on Bangla Road late at night for crying out loud!! A lot less beer bars and freelancers than I remember and the beer bar girls wanted 2000 baht just for bar fines! (Was around 500 baht last visit). I didn't even bother the very few freelancers I saw, sure they all wanted 5-6000 baht for a short time.

I mostly did the ladies in the massage places, found some good ones who would accept 2000 baht for full service, and they were often very attractive with nice bodies. Even had a couple regulars at a place near my hotel that I used frequently. I did run into a few hustles, though. I would pick a good looking lady at some massage places who back in the room actually showed me a ridiculous menu on their cell phones. 2000 for a HJ, 3000 for a BJ, 5000 for full service. Stupid stuff. I would counter with something more reasonable and they would go get another less attractive lady who would do it for my offered price. Some were acceptable but some were really unattractive and I would refuse. End of the massage.

Patong is a lot more crowded than I remember; traffic is terrible and the whole city smells like raw untreated sewage. Patong beach is dirty and the water is filthy.

Up in Khao Lak it was massage places only and they were ok, but many didn't even have a shower available. Not so good. The diving out in the Similans is fantastic though.

Next year I will return but will do Bangkok and Pattaya; skip Patong entirely.

Visited the South end of NaiYang beach on my last Thailand stop before heading home. The massage place is listed as "My friend massage" and the opening times are correct, although not sure it's still called that. Just walking to the area one of the MILFY ladies out front asked if I wanted a massage. She was dressed in a halter top and shorts, so I knew I was in the right place.

Into the curtained area (no noise protection between cubicles) and "everything off" and lay on the table, confirmed I was in the right place. She gave a decent medium pressure oil massage with a decent amount of teasing and pressing her body against my hand so that we were both clear on the next steps. The guy next door was getting a BJ by the sounds of it. He was fairly quiet. On the flip she asked what I wanted and we negotiated price. I overpaid, but honestly was too tired to haggle much. Settled on 2500 bht for FS and BBBJ. Started with the short BBBJ and cover on with nice CG and k-9 to complete the job. She continued with a nude oil massage for the rest of the time.

She had some nice tattoos and a decent MILFY body and was friendly. It's a good stop if you're in the area and I would likely return if I was staying longer, although it didn't rise to the level of "wow."

Nice report. What were prices at massage shops, bars and clubs?

Usually out of the gate massage girls are 2000 bht for short time (oil massage, BBBJ + one shot). They have showers in most of the -laces so can shower before / after. Did not bar fine as I was not sure about bringing them back to the hotel.
