Everything you said is possibly true, however in this case I think I will just apply the principles of Ockham's razor and go with what was posted. Again, you are entitled to your opinion, but since none of us with the exception of the two individuals in the room were witness to this incident it is not possible to know for certain. I will say that I have experienced situations were the the lady (sometimes the term is applied very loosely) had a significant change in attitude once the door closed behind them, as well as some type of memory loss about the conversation that had taken place only minutes before closed. This personal experience is certainly driving my opinion on the matter. And before you suggest anything to the contrary, I am absolutely certain that on the those occasions when it happened I had given them no reasons for a "red flag" as you call it.

As an aside, I will just say there have been a few instances in Thailand where the lady asked me for the money upfront. I have always politely refused and told them I would pay after, not before. They were always cool with that until this particular episode. Even at go-go bars where the mamasan asked me for money upfront, I have always just paid the bar fine and said I would pay the rest after and not before. Never had an issue. Sometimes as a compromise, they may ask me to pay 1/2 of the fee at the bar first, which I am happy to do.

On hindsight, I probably should have approached the bouncer at Thermae and told him about it. Not sure what he could or would do, given the girls there are freelancers but oh well, too late for that now.

Yeah that's around where she was, slightly to the left of the jukebox. I don't think she is a veteran. I have been to Thermae many times and have never seen her but then again there are so many girls there. She did mention when we were going up that she did not ply her trade at Thermae before Covid because she was in Khon Kaen but she may be lying.

Clearly the girl was so insistent on getting payment beforehand, despite the extra hassle, so perhaps she saw a red flag with him.

I think it was ET who mentioned this but paying a FL up front is a buzzkill. Again, if it's the norm to pay the bar/club up front then nothing you can do to change that.

Its going to be easy to find out, someone just needs to ask the staff. Or let me have some more details of her looks. Age, legnth of hair, figure? What she was wearing, hairstyle, etc. Tattos? The staff usually keeps the girls well under control.

I think you made a lot of fuss out of nothing. I think it's totally reasonable and to pay up front if she prefers that. There are scenarios where guys solicit services and then leave without paying. Even outside of Thailand, it is commonly industry standard that you pay beforehand.

What exactly are you wanting to achieve by paying after? Are you not going to pay her properly if you don't like the service?

She had to provide her ID to get in to thermae and she probably frequents it. It's not like she's going to grab your cash and then sprint away.

Taxi from BKK to Sukhumvit is like 400-500 baht total depending on time you're traveling and extra to pay tolls + airport fee. You'll be on a meter so and have to pay tolls in cash then airport surcharge as well. A ride to Sukhumvit to Pattaya is generally more like 1200-1300 baht, a little less if you negotiate or whatever around, its a bit cheaper to come back to Bangkok though.

Slim and stacked is a hard call. Slim is easy in thailand, stacked is much much harder, depending on what you view as stacked. Combing the two is quite the find. For FLs, you always have Soi 4 / Nana area. Otherwise, start on the north side of Sukhumvit from Soi 21 walking west to lower Sois checking out the FLs, and then turn down Soi 11 for a while (if you really wanted you can pop into Thermae too). There will be a lot more FLs on Fri. / sat night then other nights, especially on Soi 11. You will run into a least a couple girls with bigger boobs, but can't say the rest of them will be on point. Also, be wary, the push up bra makes even smaller boobs look a lot bigger, and the FLs know the tricks to make the boobs look better. I've been on the hunt for reliable, DD or bigger boobs in Bangkok and its just not really a thing.

Pattaya Gogos on Walking Street tend to have a lot more girls with larger fake boobs than anywhere you find in Bangkok, significantly more, maybe that's just the style there.

Never had this happen but your gut told you the right thing to do. Personally if a girl started freaking out I'd offer 500 or 1000 baht to go away. Don't agree that you wasted her her time but more just to diffuse a bad situation with a desperate girl. Bad shit can happen in Thailand it's not worth it to save a few baht.

Paying up front to a freelancer is simply not the norm in Thailand. I am sure she knew that too. It was all about leverage. But yeah, if I knew she was going to attack me, I probably would have given her a few hundred baht just to f off.

First of all the amount of restraint you showed is admirable and likely saved you a LOT of trouble. I would like to think I would have similar restraint if some lady started drawing blood, but honestly I hope I am never confronted with that situation. I cannot say I have never paid up front, but I will say that every time I have done so, I wished I hadn't. I get that some assholes just walk out without paying, but the other side of the coin is there a ladies that if they don't have an "incentive" don't hold up their end of the bargain as well. Most of the time if I still have a good vibe after she says pay in advance, I will offer to pay half before and the rest when we are done, or put the money in a visible place so she knows it is available. If the request just kills the mood, then I do exactly what you did and decline the service. The issue would be if she had to travel for a while to get to the location, which in your case she did not. I would certainly pay for her taxi back to the club or some reasonable fare, but that was something you did not have to deal with. I subscribe to the "we are the customers" theory, but understand it is a very personal transaction, so will allow some leeway. I don't like to be manipulated, so as soon as I get the feeling they are trying to leverage the situation in that manner I walk away.

Almost every time I have paid a lady who has no one to answer to (ir free lancer) in advance the service has been less that expected or desired. Most of the time if the girls know there are consequences if they don't at least try to live up to their end of the bargain then they at lease give it a go. My experience is very different to yours in that it is a rarity for the lady to ask for the money upfront unless they are agency girls or something of the like. Sure there are exceptions of course. It sounds like this lady had a case of GPS and was not accustomed to be told "No" or turned down. Also seems she had a touch of psycho ***** thrown in for good measure. Maybe one more thing to get clarification before nodding my head yes. As I see it this lady wasted his time as well, and my time is as valuable as hers, maybe she missed out on a client, but maybe he missed out on the girl of his dreams while dealing with this gal. I would imagine it colored the rest of his evening for certain. I also have NEVER seen the girls give up their ID to enter Thermae, they may have to show one to make sure they are not LB's and are of age, but I have never seen them either give up or retrieve their ID before leaving.

I said:"you wasted 3 minutes of my time as well but you can just go back down, and in 20 seconds, you can be back to where you were. " Next thing I know, wolverine-style slash attack. Those were some sharp nails, pretty sure that psychotic witch had some experience using those.

Anyway this really puts me off going to Thermae despite having been there countless times pre-covid, at least at gogo bars and soapies, there is someone you can find if there are any issues.

I used to stay in lat krabang in a 100 dollar a night hotel. I'm fairly sure things would have progressed as my last stay at mariya hotel found me in the beer garden next door talking to two beer girls. I'd not describe then as hot nor would I know if they were available but my guess is I could have got a number. One was quite young probably 21 to 25.

They were certainly suggestively dressed and chatting to all the men folk. Probably more cheap hooters than gogo girls.

As for the area itself a few massage places but I gave up on lat krabang and just booked hotels in the sukuhumvit area because there was so little to do out that way and transfer times were good.

I don't use the word dump lightly. But lat krabang was a dump back then. Only good if you were a plane spotter I reckon. No good food. Nothing good to see. Just cheap hotels.

As for TF yes there were a few ladies out that way and likewise I'm sure some of the ladies from smooci would come out that way in a fully expensed taxi. I remember some here would go to the soapies along the expressway.
