One more thing about Thai income tax. I do not want to be enrolled in the Thai tax system. Once I file a return, anyone in the Revenue Department can claim I made an error and demand money from me. There is no defense, and they ultimately have the power to imprison.

I said the same thing but I used the proper language of accessible income. That has changed., but the 180 rule has not. This means what you bring into Thailand and when it was earned. When it was earned is what was changed. It used be what was earned in the current tax year where you stayed 180 days or more. Now its what you earned in a previous tax year or the current tax year, just a long as you bring it into Thailand the year you qualify as a tax resident. I can't reveal much to you on here but this is my job, so I know what I am talking about. We don't believe there will be any enforcement when one does a visa extension unless its related to employment and that is already in place. Retirees most likely wont be forced to file. How about we make a bet? 1 ST of a girl of choice at MM. I am serious. Lets make a bet. Steven can hold the money lol. Win win for you because what you pay and what I pay for a ST are completely different lol

I don't know whether the new regulations will be enforced. So, this year I will stay less than 180 days in Thailand, and then in 2025, I will monitor the situation.

I suspect that the new Thai government may change course on Farang taxation, but anything is possible.

Normally I would have met the lady in Malaysia, but she has never traveled international before, so I had to meet her in Suvarnabhumi.

Which meant that when I landed in Suvarnabhumi, I did an international transit, and never went through Immigration. Interestingly, Airport Information told me that it was impossible, but I had my carry-on, and a boarding pass in hand, so I ignored them and went through Transit security and to the gate, where I met the lady.

That meant, I didn't burn a day in Thailand (referencing my 180 day quota for tax purposes).
