It's the first trip that I have visited Thermae every night and have to say, really treated well by the staff in particular every time, I was ushered in past a group of queuing Asian men (boys) straight to the top of the bar queue. So I really don't know what others are complaining about on here say they get a bad vibe.

Don't think I'd go as far as to plonk myself down in the middle to eat a burger nor is it really a place for people watching for too long, I've noticed being there a number of days in a row that the majority of girls are there every night usually in their "own" particular spot, so it's starts getting awkward when you are looking for new blood and don't want the advances of the last few pickups!

Thermae girls are awesome. But 3000/2500 for ST is bit high. 3000/3500 for LT is acceptable. If it is higher, better move to Pattaya for the budget friendly atmosphere in Thai.

Some of us don't care about $20. Bangkok is a world class city, Pattaya is not. Ill pay the extra $20. If you can't afford it, Patts is for you.

Generalizations again, I am not there every night but I was two days ago and once again never had any issue with the girl making an effort. Quite the contrary as I didn't bother listing off my requirements in advance as I was tired but she agreed to everything back in the room (within reason of course. I do know and full accept that I take a chance with every punt. The next one might be rubblish.

Also as a 'mature' pale Westerner, I've never been made feel unwelcome. For any newbies in particular it's a fabulous place to dip your toe and neck into the BKK waters. Went in about 10 minutes before closing time, must have been still 50-100 FL still there, if you can't find at least one you like, then sorry there is something seriously wrong with you. The girl I picked was very appreciative of me picking her as she had plenty of competition for me to pick from.

3,000 and stayed over an hour, would have stayed longer if I had wanted but I was tired after flight etc, it's amazing how the urge can dry up so quick sometimes after the first pop. I'd say I could easily have got her for 2,500 either but I am not that type to start negotiating, if I don't like the price I'd just move on to someone or somewhere else.

Re "Street walkers" I have felt on this most recent visit that there a higher percentage of "streetwalkers" on Sukhumvit that are Ladyboys than even a 6 months ago, I mean really really high percentage.

I would strongly recommend against going to Thermae. It is currently trash. I was there last year, and this year, I'm currently staying at the hotel (Ruamchitt) above (I'm writing this from Thailand). Compared to last year, this year the place has gotten more crowded and the girls more jaded. For instance, when I was there last year, I was quoted various rates for "short time" (ST). Some quoted me 2600, others 3000. Now, 3000 is the baseline for ST. I had one cute-looking girl quote me 4000 for ST. Also, last year I felt like I was only one out of a handful of guys there. This year, I am constantly bumping into guys left and right, majority of them from East Asian countries.

And the overall vibe is just not good anymore. The girls are very money-hungry. They are not looking to meet guys and have fun. The name of the game is ST. Some don't even offer "long time" (LT) anymore because they make way more money doing multiple ST's. BTW, the girls will tell you ST is one-hour, but that's not true. ST is really "done after you cum". So once you cum, the girl will leave your room and go back to standing around Thermae, hoping to snag another customer.

So what's actually good about Thermae? If you just want a QUICK fuck with a young, attractive girl, that's what you'll get (emphasis on quick). However, don't expect them to put any effort into it. These girls have zero skills whatsoever. They can't even do a HJ properly. So expect the feeling of fucking a dead, attractive fish, because that's what you'll most likely get.

So why is this place still in business? These girls only need one ST session to make it worth it. 3000 baht is A LOT of money. For comparison, the average Thai worker makes only about 440 baht per day. The majority of the clientele are tourists from East Asian countries who don't know they're being ripped off (or don't care). You will not find any local Thai guys here, other than the bar workers. The majority of girls here speak basic English because that's the common language of the clientele.

On another of my misguided shopping adventures in Lat Phrao (the lifestyle mall, big but forgettable) found the Two Bee Complex in the 132 side alley of Lat Phrao road. When I looked confused at a black glass door with a guard he just made an obscene gesture with his hands and I knew I was right. Very local place with bar set up, the infamous chairs and even a disco. All deserted at 6 pm. Shabby host explained 2 girls each 1400 for shower, massage and special. When I was un enthusiastic about the selection and was on my way out he found a 3rd girl, now the pricing got 2 tier with my choice girl number 3 initially in the 1400 price range which was upgraded to 1600 plus a 50 baht lady drink. Upstairs is a kind of ST hotel, old but clean enough, no further cockroaches in plain sight. Service was functional but actually really enthusiastic and the girl surprisingly good looking, I have seen far worse in the Lord and the Pattaya soapies. They supposedly have sometimes foreigners, it is not far from a mall and a BTS stop but I would not recommend to go there unless the line up gets much better later. I might just have gotten lucky. And another item from the bucket list (run down cheap local brothel).

I'm back in BKK at the end of the month, staying on Soi 11. Curious about the reluctance of Thermae girls to walk too far for short time. I'm not keen on a ST hotel, so what are the chances of getting a girl to walk as far as Mercure?

I invited one there and she accepted, but she complained during the walk. When I said "Soi 11 Mercure", she didn't realize how far down Soi 11 we needed to walk.

Yes, they don't like to walk either because they wear heels or the weather is too hot and humid or rain messing up hair and makeup. The Mercure would be too far for them. I would walk up to corner of Soi 13 from Thermae (at 2 minutes) and Suk and grab a taxi or tuk tuk to the hotel. Soi 13 connects with a side Soi to Soi 11 further up.

Was in Lat Phrao along the new BTS yellow line and google showed apart from the Pimp a few more Gents clubs of which I inspected one in the day time: Soi Lat Phrao 73 Clubhouse Exclusive Club & Spa (starting with 4800 for FS up to 15000 for super models), there is also another one called the weekend exclusive Club in Sukhontasawat Soi 25/2 and the Secret Exclusive club off Praesert Manukitch road a bit further north. LaBelle is literally besides Petchaburi Airport Link Station. 24 minutes to the airport. Regarding logistics if before Midnight unbeatable and after midnight streets are empty and the taxi should not take much longer. Just saying, not pushing the establishment.
