Yeah, I'm pretty sure if someone lived a couple of months with a hooker, most would start feeling somewhat less transactional about things. As it is, I've yet to pay anyone even for longtime, so it's rather unlikely to happen with me, but I can understand.

In all the sponsorship cases I've known, the guy believed, or at least pretended to believe, the girl was not banging others. One western guy had the girl move into another apartment (for which he paid the rent), so she could stay in the same building as some other girl he knew and who could "keep an eye" on his girl, while attending some make-up / cosmetics course he was paying for, and sending her 50,000 a month (this was up north, 10+ years ago, so it was a pretty good sum). I don't know wtf he was smoking as the other girl was working bar. His girl did indeed stop hooking afaik, though I met her at a regular disco one evening and from thereon out were banging her twice a week while her sponsor was away. Even had her repeat the std test after he left so I could keep banging her without a condom. In the end she ended the relationship with the sponsor because "she did not like him so much", even though it meant losing the 50 k a month + apartment rent. Before that she had been sponsored by some Japanese dude who had her stay at some high-end condo far away from the city centre, and which she also ended for similar reasons I think..

Help me make sense of why you have any concern or comment about it. In my opinion, below this is just another example of Poverty Thinking.

We are talking about hookers here, not "some girl we liked. " I spent 2 months going to Starbucks for coffee every morning, yet nothing inside of me ever said I should buy the cashier a new laptop. But when paying a chick for sex, something goes off in some guys' heads saying he should shower her with unsolicited gifts in addition to paying the required fee for sex?

I am in Pattaya now and I could care less what others are paying. It does not affect me in any way. I pay what I want to pay and that is all that matters. If you are paying less for the exact same girl for the exact same performance for the exact amount of time, more power to you. It doesn't matter to me. You should focus on yourself and stop worrying about what other people are paying.
