A Thai attorney says that prostitution in Thailand is not illegal? Well, he has to be wrong. The legal experts on this very forum says it is illegal, because they once saw a street walker get arrested, or because a police major said they rounded up prostitutes last night, or because he uses the same restroom as real attorneys, and therefore knows the law. The lawyer on the video should get disbarred for spreading false legal information.

Today out of curiosity I walked across the street to the hotel that's actually apartments with a receptionist, and the sign says "serviced apartments", and I asked details.

They rent by the month, and the smallest one is 35 K / month and is only one room and bathroom, no kitchen, probably it was a hotel before.

I think that's kind of expensive, especially for 1 room, not on the beach, the hotel where I'm staying is cheaper, has big rooms, and probably if rented by the month is most likely to cost even less that the 800/ day that I'm paying now for a deluxe room. The girl from early morning was not lying about the 82 yo boyfriend, because in no way can she afford that. Maybe he's paying her rent, or they live together there. I still don't understand the 1 K massage at 3 am.

That is ridiculously expensive. I have never heard of one costing that much. There are tons of places like that though. If you see "apartment" then that is what it is. I live in one. You can pay 500/ day or by the week. You can also pay monthly. Or like me you can have a long term contract. Mine is a 1 year contract so I pay 4500/ month. I made my own kitchen during covid since I had a taste for stuff like grilled cheese and steak and most places were closed. The difference in "apartment" and "condo" is that condo has at least a stove and sink for cooking.

Looks to me it's just a hotel, but they have called it "serviced apartments" to make it sound more luxury.
The daily price is 1800 Baht (room only), which is OK I think for a hotel like this. But you cannot know that for sure until you've seen it, and the site doesn't mention if taxes and housekeeping are included.
For the monthly price you can get better in Pattaya, I think.

I assume that Mr. E's apartment is not a hotel-like "serviced apartment", with a swimming pool, free wifi, 24h security, a restaurant, etcetera.

With regard to prostitution in Thailsnd, "What consenting adults do behind closed doors is their own business" and not illegal or a crime.

That American-born then naturalized Thai citizen attorney nailed it and so did the Bangkok Post article that triggered his commentary on the topic.

Really, every reference and term he stated on the act of prostitution between consenting adults vs all the several tangential behaviors and "open and shameful" publicly observable flaunting of negotiations, peddling it without couching it behind the concept of "massage" or simply "meet ladies here" in licensed businesses, entertainment venues and so on are pretty much right there in the Thai Penal Code that has been linked and discussed here on this website many times.

Bottom Line: the act of prostitution between or among consenting adults is not illegal or a crime in Thailand.

Your definition may vary. Short and curvy to me means they have an ass and tits. They also may have a love handle or two, but their waist will be much narrower than their boobs and ass. I would not call them fat. There are lots of fat girls in Thailand and their waist will stick out as far as their tits. To be honest my definition of fats varies with how long I have been in Thailand. If I just arrived from the USA they will all look slim, LOL. The longer I am in Thailand the more my definition of fat changes.

I like only skinny, bordering on athletic, and tall if possible, therefore I'm ok with small size tits, because that's the norm on this type of body, if the tit size is bigger I like it of course, but that's not a must. Everything that exceeds that is chubby or fat to me, and I don't want it unless I'm somehow forced by the circumstances like it was yesterday morning when the girl from TF showed up, was pretty, the one from the pics, but chubbier. Finally agree with this guy on something. I think many people are having false memory if they say the prices are different from season to season. The only difference is the amount of tourists in town. The prices stay the same.

I know low season has hit Pattaya when I see the price of 1-hour foot massage drop to 200 baht (outside Beach Road, where it will drop to 250).
