IldomI remember that if you walk down Jl Legian, away from Bemo corner, past the Monument, another 100 metres or so on the right. Then about 200 metres down Patimura on the left, just around the bend, just past Jl Malaram. Number 17, but from reading the above posts, I don't think numbers are that helpful :)
I found it first by a street massage lady who took me there for 'full service'. I subsequently found out that this was a source of girls that the security people, etc used when asked if they could arrange for some evening entertainment.

Last October I found a good location in Sanur.
It is near the Mercure Resort Hotel which is on the edge of Sanur.
About 200 yards from the hotel going in the direction of the town centre is a restaurant called Madam Puto's(or Putu's).
Next to it is a "shop" selling a mixture of things including drinks and motorcycle accessories. Just stop and look at what is on offer and you will be approached by a an older lady whose first words will probably be "Sex Massage?".
She wanted 400K but accepted 300K. Next time I told her I had an offer elsewhere for 200K which was correct and she agreed to this! There is no choice but someone collects the girl by motorbike and in 5 or 6 visits I was always amazed at the high standard. Beautiful, clean young ladies 18 to 22 who offered full service including BBBJ.
There are rooms in a separate building behind the shop which are simple but very private, clean and have cold shower facility. Centre of Sanur is just a short walk away.
One of the girls told me she got only 50k and like the others was delighted with an extra 50k as tip. Make sure she realises this is an extra for her and that she should still get her share from the old woman.
The street is a continuation of the main street which has a lot of restaurants and shops. There were 2 massage places that I saw but they offered No Extras!
Best way is probably to take taxi to Mercure Resort and walk back. Hotel incidentally is very good and reasonably priced. Madam Putu's is also worth a visit. Try the fish Cordon Bleu.
Would be interested to hear from anyone who goes there.

Anybody know anything about it? They offer massage. What are the chances of some extras? Are hotel prices much higher than the local massage establishments?
Is it possible to find small massage parlours offering full servce in Kuta or will I have to go back to Sanur.

CheersI'm wouldn't be offended. I don't care whether I'm classed as a senior member or just a lurker. I was only curious that it took so long for my posts to get published.
Perhaps Jackson could change it that after 5 or 10 'safe' posts that this limitation could be removed and become a senior member after a lot more.
Btw, if you only travel once a year to Bali it is very difficult to give a lot of useful current advice.

Billger my friend , October is a very average time to arrive in Indonesia as most Ladies will be returning home to Java , I hope you havent come to monger much as your choice will be small.
Santika will not offer the inhouse service you require but there many Massage shops within a stones throw of you. RTFF .
Dainitas is located on the last lane that cuts from Jl Majapahit to Jl Legian , just past the White Rose hotel. From Majapahit about 20m up on your right hand side. Usually 4-5 girls nothing much past 6/10.
If lost ,get a pimp pick up from the momument on JL Legian and next time remember how to get there yourself.

It's a Salon (hairdresser). With 2 windows on the street and 2 doors.
Right door give access to the Salon left door to a sort of waiting room to the massage parlour. Actually the 2 sections are connected so it doesent really matters which doors you use.
In the back there is one room with 3 cubicles, every room has one mattress on the floor. Not clean at all.
In any case even if the place really sucks. When I saw Anna from Jawa. With her 2 big watermelons. I couldent leave.
You know. The feeling when none of your blood can go up in your brain. Ahahhaha
Anyway. I paied 200 to the mamasan. And 100 tip to her.

Eid al Fitri holidays start from 1-2 October (the end of fasting).
Ramadan (mth of Sept) last year saw an increase of girls from Jakarta in town looking for extra cash but once the holidays start most go back home.

You're right. Many Indonesian working girls observe Ramadan -- many from Java come to Bali to work during the fasting month.
At the end of Ramadan, Idul fitri, many Javanese and other muslims living in Bali go home to their villages for a few days. Working girls included. It's like their Christmas holidays.
So -- usually there are more girls here in Bali for the fasting month itself. At Idul Fitri, the place is largely Javanese-free for a week.
The Balinese authorities play lip-service to Muslim sensibilities by occasionally raiding the more in your face night clubs and cafes (domestically-focussed) but I never heard of any westerner complaining that Ramadan had affected his mongering one iota.
Ramadan is a non-issue in Bali and visitors would not even know it was on.

My suggestion would be take a chance and do what we do and look around.
The best places at the moment are
Ocean Beach Club on the Beachfront at Kuta next to Poppies 2
Baccio on Ladies night (wednesday) as they have models working there
MBargo and Bounty (but you have to be in luck to get one before the other 300 + drunks see her first)... Also Double 66 is probably pumping now as its really busy in Bali town again
You could always also try ESC for the SPG (Sales Promotion Girls) at the front door but again good luck.
Apart from that its luck of the draw and beating them all to the good ones first... There are plenty around you just have to go looking for them.
A last suggestion would be a couple of the big Karaoke places (taxi drivers will know the better ones) I live in a block of apartments that many girls from karaoke live in and there are some stunners there... although i am temporarily off mongering :) when the opportunity exists there is plenty on offer. There is a big karaoke place in the middle of Denpasar near the big roundabout across from Dunkin Donuts that I always see cute girls coming out of...

Every year at Ramadan, you see the girls leaving for at the most a week... at the moment there is a lot of new talent around and they are all tasting the good times available again... I would say you will have no troubles finding a good looking companion... Even though they are observing Ramadan, many are still more interested in the Dollar.

Sounds great! I'll be leaving at the end of the month, so sounds like my timing will work out fine. Now all I have to do is find some interesting places to stay. I think I'll stay in the rich area of town for a few days (IC and Conrad), and then stay at some 100-300k places for a week.
The last time I was in Bali for an extended amount of time (3 weeks), I quite enjoyed the little place that 1Ball recommended to me in Sanur, Agung and Sue's (I think). Even though it had not much amenities, it was laid back, and an interesting area to see.

So, if anyone knows of some good addresses and prices (preferably fishbowl type establishments) I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
Needless to say, I will report back on my escapades when I get back.

Not a city for tourism but for sure there are young ladies available for the local people..? Do the usual - ask a taxi driver or two. If you see a place with many motor bikes outside in the evening - maybe a place where young balinese people of both sexes meet like in the Sanur area? Have a look? Looking forward to your report...

Singaraja, but nothing comes up for mongering.
I don't know the current situation in Singaraja, but a few years ago my work took me there every few weeks.
On the road between Singaraja and Lovina, on the right hand side just before Lovina, there is a late night cafe which is full of girls. It's roadside, and even during the day you can see that it is a nightclub of sorts.
And in Lovina itself, after the traffic lights, to the left, set about 100 meters off the main road, there was another one. You go down a bit of a track.
Further on from Lovina to the west ,on the main road, maybe a couple of km, is a T-junction with the secondary road going off to the left. Apparently, its a "lokasi" an area of bordellos for the local population.
There are several roads that intersect the main road, so you might have to do a bit of a recce after dark to identify the right place. It shouldn't be hard, these "lokasi" have an atmosphere all their own.
One of the members of my crew picked up a pretty rough but very nubile teen at this place and hid her on the boat for a few days.
He ended up getting the clap, she ended up getting pregnant.
Still, love is blind and he had every intention of taking her back to his village in Sulawesi as Wife No 2. I risked a mutiny and banned her from the boat.
Failing these options, as you've already been advised, ask around.
There are not really that many taxi drivers as such in north Bali, but in Lovina there are plenty of touts of one sort or another and asking where you can find "cewek" -- pronounced Chay- wheck, means a girl or girls -- should have the desired effect.

I'm going to visit Bali next month for ten days. It's my first visit to this island.
I've already booked at Dewi Sri hotel in Kuta based on the recommendation of the "expert" Profdesigner.
Now I did read the forum several times but I'm still confused about few things
# how close is Dewi Sri to Paddy's and Bounty? (in other words, when I go out from these clubs with a GIRL!! Do I need to take a taxi back to the hotel? Or just walk back? "what's the distance?"
# I need a name and address for an MP in the Kuta area that provides guaranteed FS or at least Bj & HJ.

Dewi Sri is literally right in the middle of the kuta strip... From the memorial it is down the street to the end and then nicely secluded away so not much noise comes through.
I stayed there a month when I first came to bali and its a very easy 3 minute walk. and girl friendly...

Kuta Seaview would definately be girl friendly, its a given in Kuta, as to discreet access, just dont look like you are sneaking the girl in, rather just boldly walk in as if you dont care... no one will stop you or really care.
If you look back a few pages in the bali section you can see suggestions of where to get daytime players and really there are a lot around...
There are plenty of places open earlier that 12 these dayot girls start at Paddys from around 10 - 11
As to security finding you a girl, yeah you can, but they will always get a cut of the action... better to find your own. Another option is the beach at double 66 from about 4pm onwards

Close to the entrance are often some guys (taxi drivers?) that offer to arrange a girl for you, but they charge 600K for a girl that they get for 300 k from a local brothel and the girl hopes for a tip because she only gets 150 k out of it for a two hour period.
If you don't want to wait until late for some action, from 9-10 pm on you can find already girls in Pady, in Mini Lounge and in Sky Garden. I also got some day-time proposals at the beach in front of KSC.

Goes without saying the that the Hard Rock, like virtually all Hotels is girl friendly.
In fact pop along to Hard Rock's own Centre Stage bar and pick up one of the working girls normally to be found in the bar.

Smackdown I suggest you read back over about 5 pages and it will give you most of the information that you want. Finding Balinese girls is a lot harder in the kuta area, but you may get lucky, they are around just not as pletiful as the javanese girls who will P4P... If not then I suggest the beach around 4.30 near double six

Went to Kuta Bugar on Sunset rd, picked no 69 and was very please with the service and the price after a lot of hagggling.

Started out along Legion. Ignored several parlours and several hundred men asking if I wanted massage. You can try Ida Hotel which is behind Kuta square, I lived there for almost three years and used to walk up to the clubs with no problems, its that or there are many small cheap hotels in Poppies 1 & 2 although the cheaper hotels tend to be taken and fully booked in the time that you are coming... Also look at White Rose its literally just behind mbargo or even look at The Bounty Hotel, all within the price range you are asking. If you get really stuck, have a look at Contiki in seminyak its in the street where there is a lot of action as well and not far to kuta by taxi

Yeah Prof's advice is actually much better then mine. Hotel Sandat came up on your terms "budget" and "proximity".
But for staying in comfort, poppies 2 road (many young aussies, a bit loud but lively) or poppies 1 (more quiet) are much better of course. Plenty rooms between 5 and 30 (and up) $.
Sandat may be to much of the budget thing, for your taste. And also the proximity is a bit too much. Visiting Bounty is not an option, it's pretty much required because the thumping disco bass notes virtually shake your bed until 4:15 AM.
Anyway, you could even book two hotels, one in poppies 1 or 2 (for the suitcase), plus Sandat, and still easily keep within your definition of budget.

Have a look at Contiki in seminyak its in the street where there is a lot of action as well and not far to kuta by taxi
A friend was turned away from Contiki recently, not because he had a girl in tow, but because he was too old.
Contiki has an under-35 policy and seems full of young Aussies partying hard every time I go there to watch rugby on their big screen, so if Spice Lover isn't an old fart maybe it's a good option.

Bounty Hotel is way on the other side of poppies 2, close to the beach; noise no problem.

I am sorry to say TT that you paid way over the top in all aspects, the last time I was at Kuta bugar I paid 80.000 for two hours. Also for a HJ you have to be strong and bring the price lower, I think the most I have ever paid there was 150.000 and even that was too much, but then she was cute.

TTGIt really depends on where you go and on your lifestyle.
If you come to Bali to party everynight and all the spots you cruise are clubs and massage parlour....the chance might not be so many.
Just walk around during the day in a less touristic areas than Kuta...and you might have a chance....but if you are just in holydays...a smart girl, that is not looking for you wallet, wouldnt bother to go out with you.

I visited the “Balinese Massage” near Kuta earlier this year. I completed some research prior to my visit by having lengthy discussions with locals that had frequented this establishment. I had been there once sometime ago but felt uncomfortable at that time because I wasn’t sure of what was on offer and wasn’t sure if anything indeed was. This time I wanted to be prepared with inside knowledge. My situation in Bali prevented me having anything more that ST during an afternoon.
I was told that many Japanese tourists like to go there and they will pay Rp1M for extra service. Locals pay Rp300K and other tourists Rp500K.
I went in about 2pm and booked a massage session for 1 hour in a private room. The rate was Rp90K if I recall correctly. The room was small, had a massage bed and shower and a lockable door.
I was escorted to the “fishbowl” where there about 20 girls all dressed in blue jeans and yellow T shirts each wore a badge with a number.
The fishbowl is a large room with two long bench seats that the girls sit on. Although there are white lines on the glass the girls can easily see you.
After much consideration I chose number 75. Not sure why I chose her, she smiled a lot and looked like she had large breasts.
Anyway, she took me to a room and she told me to nude up and then commenced to massage me. After about 5 minutes I turned and asked her if she offered any extras. She replied with a smile and said of course. HJ was Rp300K, FS was Rp500K. I tried so hard to get her to reduce the price but after so much haggling I accepted the offer after my local friends had told me that was the going rate anyway.

I visited the “Balinese Massage” near Kuta earlier this year. I completed some research prior to my visit by having lengthy discussions with locals that had frequented this establishment. I had been there once sometime ago but felt uncomfortable at that time because I wasn’t sure of what was on offer and wasn’t sure if anything indeed was. This time I wanted to be prepared with inside knowledge. My situation in Bali prevented me having anything more that ST during an afternoon.
Unfortunately I was leaving Bali that night otherwise I wouldn’t have hesitated spending that amount of money again the next day. If someone has had such quality there for less I would love to hear from them.

I will modestly suggest that you go to page 8 of this thread (assuming you are on page 1 now) and read my clearly-written, extensive post on the X houses in Sanur (Post #734 of June 23, 2008), also read the succeeding post #735 by Cooze Hound and another half-dozen posts after that on the same subject. My post and many of the succeeding posts all discuss the prices you should expect to pay.
Simply put, take a taxi to the On-On Bar, then start walking. There are at least 6 X house brothels within a five-minute walk, probably more.
The "best current places"? Depends on you, since the places are so close together, you can easily check out several of them, then go back to the place that had the 1 or 2 girls you'd like to have a session with. I certainly liked the place where I ended up, #67 X, fairly new and spotlessly clean.
I noticed that you only have 1 post, so in return for the info you get from ISG, I look forward to reading some informative posts of your experiences in Bali.

Will that be problematical? How much would takeout be ST/LT? Are the girls health checked or is it a case of cover up for everything?

I would assume that savvy members know this already, but it's worth repeating - "health checks" for girls in Indonesia are essentially meaningless, so if you are at all worried, then yes, it's "cover up" and use a condom for FS.
I personally have always used a condom for FS with every female (other than the ones I was married to at the time).
On the other hand, I've never insisted on the girl using a condom for oral sex, as I much prefer a BBBJ. Occasionally an Indonesian girl will use a condom for a bj, but that's fairly rare in my experience.

Every house is eat in or takeaway, if takeaway they will charge you more... Menteng is a great believer of Sanur so hopefully he cn give some advise here. Always cover the friend, its safer in an area that has so much humping traffic.

They are way over priced, far better to find your own. They charge 1 million for 2-3 hours, you can get two good girls all day and night for that

I am very Pro Sanur. Kuta is ok if your under 30. Drink like an Ausie and surf.
All the Hotels in Sanur are girl friendly, they know exactly whats going on and
they don't care as they realize the girl is only making a living.
The booking agents online, or in the newspaper are ripoffs. Very expensive and basicly the same thing you can find in most houses.
There are a few bars in Sanur that have take outs. You can find that info in the fourm. Most houses are for ST only but, money talks and bullshit walks so
talk with the boss if you find a honey you want to take back to the Hotel, go for it.
I have been informed by my GF in Bali that the hotels are packed. That means higher prices and not the best service. She tried to book some visitors
in a hotel in Ubud and the owner of the hotel would not offer her a commission. He told her that Bali is back and he is not giving commission to booking agents.
Expect to pay a little more for all services. I will be there next week, so I can get a feel of the change in the attitude of the Balinese. But from what I have heard is that "Bali is Back" and the place is full, and prices are way up.

Gamahucher, I just got back here a couple of days ago, and yes, Bali is busting at the seams.
However, bear in mind this is August, the height of high season. Euro trash everywhere, all trying to look cool. By october, the place will have quietened down a lot, and things will be somewhat mellow again.
I used to pay 10,000 for a beach chair all day in front of Zanzibar, it is now 25,000, but my "beach dude" told me he will be dropping his prices again, as soon as September arrives.
If Jaimito Cartero is reading this, can you remember the name of the little hotel I suggested to you a couple of years ago in Sanur, and do you have a contact for them? The place would probably be great for Gamahucher, and won't break the bank. 200m from the X houses, and it has a pool.

Heres a couple also. Puri Kelapa Garden Bungalows, around 200,000 a day w/ab.
Bumi Ayu on jl. Bumi Ayu, also 200,000 a day including ab the only problem
is that if you want to be on the beach you will have to pay 600,000 plus
and again it all depends on your skills to nego.
I have stayed at both and I really liked Puri Kelapa. It is at the McD's end of Sanua, on the beach side. The Girl Bars are very close, but the st houses are
a Bemo ride.
Be sure to use the Bemo's in Sanur. Little green mini vans. They will honk at you to get your attention. Usually only 2000 rp to ride to any place in Sanur.
Very important...IGNOR the TRANSPORT drivers. These guys are like fleas. And they will rip you off if they sense that you do not know Bali.
You can go to Lim Ling Bar and there will be a bemo there at night. Nyoman
is his name and for 20,000 he will take you and a few others on the Girl Tours.
You can see all of the sm hotels full of ladies waiting for your attention.
Buy a couple of beers for the tour and enjoy as they stream out of their rooms in hopes you pick them first. Then continue to the next house of the raisin sun.
Lim Ling and Baby Blue are at the McD's end of Sanur, walking distance from
Puri Kelapa. You can find ladies in these bars that will stay the night for
200,000 to 500,00. They are a little more mature and all speak english. The young ones at the ST houses usually do not speak english and are not as GFE

With the proliferation of cheap, budget airlines with near giveaway fares (if you book far enough in advance), I'm embarking on a pet project of mine, which is a 50 day trip through 10 nations of SE Asia (if you count HK and Macau as nations) sampling the best of wine, women and song in each, with the emphasis on the women, though with a bit of beach lounging and general tourist stuff thrown in. whole country is the same.

At the time it was 100k for a fan room. According to their website it's 120k now. I actually booked a room in the #1 for one night to check it out, or might do so before hand the few nights I'm at the IC or the Conrad.

Either take a cab to the ST places yourself and pick a girl, or ask security at your hotel to deliver a girl to you. Give them a tip of 20. 30, 000, and they'll be more than happy. They'll also take some money from the girl. Can't be avoided. I've found if you offer 500, 000 you can have the girl for a few hours. They don't really have a concept of all night at those places well developed, but the word is "bermalam". The 500 includes the transport costs. Your choice if you tip the girl.

She's just got her first hand phone, one of the budget models, and is rapidly learning its power as she sifts through the SMS messages and giggles naughtily at the blandishments from her growing band of beaux. The make up is immaculate, and speaks of afternoons bowed in front of a mirror worshipping at the altar of beauty.
Her hand phone is the dernier cri, sleek and sexy - and of course, with integrated camera. Her jewellery is reassuringly heavy and chunky and she sports a designer watch. She has perfected the art of smoking, and every movement is beautifully choreographed. Just to watch her light up is a feast to the eyes.
She's the centre of attraction, holding court at the best table in the bar, laughing and chattering with the older big spenders and the young bucks as they queue up to pay court and ply her with expensive drinks. She'll dance with a favoured few, and flirt quite outrageously so as to make the other besotted guys ache with jealousy.
The Belle
She's now one of the grandes dames of Kuta / Seminyak, mature and confident and at the height of her powers. Her reputation goes before her, everybody know her. She has at least one of the guys in tow as her regular beau or boyfriend, and bestows her favours amongst a very select patronage.
But all is not quite as it seems. Age is slowly and subtly undermining her beauty, so more skill and care than ever is applied to the choice of clothes, and to the make-up ritual. She is now a creature of the night, and heavy drinking and smoking have taken their cruel and inevitable toll. As she watches a younger generation blossoming around her, she feels the first cold draught of competition.
To keep up the pace she needs some assistance - and if alcohol and nicotine don't hit the spot, there's narcotics. She enters the shadowy world of artificial stimulants, and starts popping Ecstasy - or worse.
The Aging Femme Fatale
The figure has filled out, the face is becoming taught and drawn, the hair has lost its lustre. She's keenly aware that she's no longer the svelte beauty of her youth, and sees the youngsters edging her out of the limelight. But she's still attractive; and in the half-light of the bar, from the right angle, can still make heads turn.
The make-up is now artfully applied to hide the telltale signs of aging; coloured eye shadow, dark eyebrow liner, artificial eyelashes, are the order of the day. Her hair is now worn long, down to the waist even, and she wears glitzy short dresses that enhance the rounder figure.
But what she lacks in beauty, she makes up for in experience. She knows all the tricks (and most of the guys), so she adapts. After so long in the demi-monde of Kuta she speaks passable English, has a fund of knowledge and experience, and enjoys drinking and chatting with the guys who appreciate good company.

The Derelict
Last scene of all, she's now a blown rose whose beauty has withered. The body and the features have a saggy coarseness that no sexy dress, no amount of make-up, can hide. She puts on a brave face and, like the old trooper that she is, still slips quietly into the bar and sits, unobtrusively, watching the pageant with graceful nostalgia. I am getting close to the end of a fortnight's holiday here; due to the usual domestic baggage I have found it impossible to get out in the evening and so any fun has been limited to late afternoons. I have made two visits each to the above places. At Balinese Massage I took a room at around 180k I think the first time (it had a bath tub. But would you get naked in it?. No way. Disgusting) second time I opted for a superior at less (shower) which was actually better. Anyway I wasn't there for the rooms. First up I saw no. 15 (Sheila) and the second time no. 1 Ary. Both were decent looking with good firm figures; I know I paid over the odds at 500k but what the heck. Sheila was useless; covered BJ and couldn't wait to get on top and within about 20 seconds was telling me to hurry and come. What a turn off. Ary was much better (and at massage as well) and was a bit of fun.
At Grahadi where the VIP rooms are much better and cheaper than at BM the first up girl was no. 4 Pippy. Very slim, with tiny boobs but a nice enough lay. Second one was no. 3 Lila. Older and much plumper but not exactly fat. She was in a sense more energetic and was a decent lay. Both again cost 500k.
Obviously I know that YMMV but from everyone of them there was no hint of a GFE which for me means french kissing, DATY and some responsive contact from them. Sheila was no better than a blow up doll. Probably worse actually. The others were better than that but still rather disappointing.
As someone who has used the parlour scene back in the UK the value here is not so very brilliant. Especially given the language difficulty (for me). ~TTGTTG , Grahadi is probably a 30-40,000 rp taxi ride from the airport or slightly less from centre of Kuta.
Price per room for the overnighter I am not sure but can check with my now GF who lives across the river ( rubbish tip/swamp ) at the back of the Grahadi. In fact when I stay in her room on the 1st floor I can wave to you if you use the overnighter rooms :)
BTW, keep the Karaoke down is we like to sleep after 2am :)
A small % of the girls on that Grahadi site actually stay in the same block of rooms on Patasari 2 that my GF is and yes, there are a couple of stunners and ohh so young , well for me that is , Hehe.

~TTGThe VIP rooms cost between 80k and 120k for an hour (I think it might depend on the girl) and obviously that includes the basic massage. The website is totaly useless as far as the massage section goes. Just in case you haven't read elsewhere on this site to get to it walk past the security hut and go straight ahead between the two main buildings and you will find it a little past the building on your right. I am staying in Seminyak, took a taxi down to Planet Hollywood/DFS and walked the 100 yards or so from there - I like my privacy! That cost between 30-50k depending on the route/rush hour etc. If you don't mind get the taxi to take you straight there but be prepared to fob off the inevitable "you want woman" question.
You select the girl from about 40 photos on the reception desk - the girl on duty gives you a card showing the numbers of the girls available at that time and you choose from there. Obviously there's more room for mistake because you don't see the real thing until you've made the choice but I didn't find it way worse than at BM where you choose from the fishbowl.
I haven't taken much notice of the website (which is www.grahadi-bali.net by the way) because I'm not sure that the girls shown there are ones who work the massage rooms.

Welcome to Bali, you are finding what we have been saying for quite a while now that the tourist has definately screwed up the pricing. 3 years ago you could easily get a girl all night for 300,000 then it went to 500,000 as business was getting better and now the going rate is between 700,000 and a 1,000,000 rp... So advise is this... if they see you are an easy mark they will hold that price as there is a lot of business for them here at the moment, if they are a stunner then you dont have a chance of her dropping the price even if you are Brad Pitt... If they are a 6 - 8 then hold out, they will come down later in the night it just depends how long you want to wait.

Do some research and you'll find out which X house I visited.
I just got back from Indo where I spent my last 4 nights in Bali. I've posted my time in Jakarta in the respective thread. Bali I didn't really get up to much. Checked out a few of the shops, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, and Sanur beaches. At night I checked out a few of the clubs. Paddy's, Bounty, Engine Room, Eikon, MBarGo, and Sky Garden. Over in Sanur I visited 2 of the x houses. In the end I think my time there was all too brief, but, that's okay as I was mainly interested in surveying the scene for a possible longer trip next time.
So anyway...
The clubs I found quite disappointing. The FLs were all pretty average to poor looking. Most of the bars weren't very happening either. This was at 1:30am and I wasn't in the mood to hang around much longer as I'd lost my drinking buddy. An aussie guy whom I wasn't entirely sure if he was hitting on me or not. Either way we parted ways and I wasn't enjoying the scene that was in front of me. Tried again on another night and pretty much the same. Danced a bit and had a few drinks at Engine room and Bounty, but, nothing caught my eye.
Over in Sanur I visited 67x and 29 on Danau Poso. I looked in at 101, but, didn't notice anything so not sure if I really found the place or not. I looked in 66x and saw a couple of girls just sitting around smoking and chatting and didn't visit. Also went by 3b, but, it looked like the place was abandoned.
At 67x I got to enjoy the company of Mita. Young looking and attractive. The business was pretty usual. BBBJ and CBJ, lots of positions and she got into it even if she was a bit quiet. She could speak a little bit of English. Great body even if though she's had a baby. I was surprised when she'd told me she'd climaxed during our session because she didn't really give off any real reaction to suggest to me that she did.

If I could speak Bahasa Indonesia I would have just told them to take me there so I could choose for myself. The bike method seems a bit tedious. Especially if you don't like what they bring and I felt bad each time I declined a girl that they brought.

Security have got a girl for me when asked, and brought her to my room, but seemed to take care to avoid reception area, bringing her in through a back entrance. A small fee naturally applied, and I'm sure they got something from the girl as well. Security only comes on after dark, so I don't know how the reception staff would react during the day.

I stayed there for 2-3 days on my first trip to Sanur in 2004. About $30 a night at that time. It was the only reasonable one in the area that I could book via the internet at the time.
It's a fine place, but there are plenty of other fairly budget places for a lot less money. The Agung and Sue's Watering Holes are in the $8-$12 range.

I reckon staying in Sanur is not so convenient, as you need a car to move around, or you need to get a bike. I had previously (2006) stayed in Jalan Legian, for around USD30 per night at some 3* hotels including airport pickup + breakfast. The hotels along Jalan Legian are close to clubs, lots restaurants. Vila Shanti Beach Hotel in Sanur
I had read the forum in preparation for my first visit to Bali and decided to spend the bulk of my time in Sanur Beach with shorter stays in Ubud and Kuta. Based on recommendations by One Wing Low and another poster, I booked 5 nights at the Vila Shanti Beach Hotel in Sanur. Internet rate was $48/night including breakfast. I'm quite pleased with this hotel after my first couple of nights here. Their restaurant and swimming pool overlook the beach and the north-south pathway that parallels the ocean. The grounds are impressive with their extensive landscaping, fish ponds, and statuary. The property is two stories with a stairs to climb if you're on the upper level. My room is surprisingly large with basic furnishings, nice king size bed, high ceilings, tiled floor, and an outside deck or veranda. An unstocked referigerator is in the wardrobe cabinet. The bathroom is politely described as functional with a tub/shower and plenty of hot water. The air conditioner is excellent and never requires fine tuning. There is no tv or internet available, with the latter being a real drawback. There is no room safe so I elected to use the safety deposit boxes at the front desk to store excess cash, credit cards, and passport. If you loose your key there is a $100 US charge. The other side of this small complex leads out to the main street.
Vila Shanti is very nicely located adjacent to the Griya Santrian in an area of the beach that is fairly active with tourists. If you walk 1/2 km on the beach trail either north or south, things get quiet. The famous and beautiful Sanur Hyatt is about 1/2 km south...with J Danau Poso Street being another good 6 blocks south of that. Danau Poso is not easily walked from here plus it's further south from the Hyatt than a map might suggest. Public transport in the "bemos" costs 5000 IDR or about 52 cents and will take you down to and all along Danau Poso. On the beach path to the north is the well regarded Bonsai Cafe and the Bemmo Cafe. Both offer dining right on the beach. When leaving the Vila, the custom is to leave your room key with the front desk. If you bring an overnight guest home with you, it's quite simple to have her bypass the front office. You can maintain your privacy here very easily both day and night.
I had dinner in the restaurant my first and second night but the food wasn't as impressive as the beach setting. However, this area is loaded with restaurants and bars, so you have many options. By the way, for newbies to Indonesia, you rarely see anyone drink anything other than beer...presumabely due to taxes. Breakfast here likewise is your basic omlett, toast, and fruit. (Don't miss the free breakfast by thinking that the Bali time zone is the same as the Jakarta time zone. There's a one hour difference.) The pool, however, is nice and very useable. Older and middle aged European couples along with some children populate the place. I haven't seen any Austrailians or fellow Americans yet. "Holland International" and "World of TUI" signage in the lobby suggests that some tour groups from Holland stay at this property.
Bottom line for me: most excellent location on the beach with pool and restaurant, easy accessibility to other bars/restaurants, soothing Balanese type gardens and fish ponds, an ability to come and go with privacy at all times of the day. Downside: no internet, tv, or room safe.
The "scene" here in Sanur is quite interesting with the local brothels and an occasional bar with touts. In late evening, the Bemos have older ladies riding along with the driver who offer "massage complete" to the new passenger. Stay tuned for my Sanur Scene/Brothel report...complete with street pics.

I also keep a house in Sanur, right in the action zone and so I look forward to that report from you. Sadly I cannot play here due to the wife, so Jakarta is it for me, although I have got to know a few of the X house girls and await my opportunity.
I would like to point out that your perception of distance is maybe a little off. Danau Poso is a 10 minute walk from Vila Shanti .. good for mongers to get some fresh air before entering the X houses.

I arrived in Sanur on a Saturday and decided to get the lay of the land. From Vila Shanti I walked south toward the Hyatt, thinking that the famous Danau Poso with the brothels was just a little further south. Unfortunately that was not the case and the heat, humidity, and my lack of energy caused me to turn back to the hotel. Later in the evening when it was dark and cooler, I hired a taxi (Blue Bird group) and asked the driver to show me the local brothels. Off we went...with my trust in the driver and faith in encountering only good natured Balanese people. We made approximately six stops with the driver turning each time into narrow alleys... which curved every which way... ultimately moving slowly deeper into the maze past small groups of local men amidst little houses. The driver would get out of the car with me, approach the local papasan, and accompany me to view the ladies usually lounging in a large room. I was tired from my flight that day and not particularly interested in taking a lady, so upon finding nothing of special interest, we would proceed to another alley and repeat the process. I was trying to remember the location of each of these houses, but it was dark, the city was new to me, and the routing was confusing. Knowing that the driver earns a commission from the brothel, I neglected to tell him I was "just looking". I would usually ask the papasan how much for LT and the response ranged from 600k to 1.5 mi. My sense is that the girls speak little to no English. At each brothel the driver would turn off the car,the meter would keep ticking, and I'd worry about the cost. After awhile, I tired of this routine and had the driver drop me at the On-On bar on J Danau Poso. Total adventure was 32,000 IDR for the taxi...a bargain for a prolonged edgy experience and an introduction to the Sanur brothel scene.
Much has been accurately written in the forum about the X houses of Sanur, but I think things still gets confusing. In my opinion, a newbie needs to first get oriented by a taxi driver. Pay special attentionn to the location of On-On Bar and the Circle K convenience store because this stretch of four to six blocks between the two provides plenty of opportunity to see several brothels on foot.
The second point to make is that I never once saw signage for the "On-On Bar" and my taxi driver didn't seem to be familiar with it either. The bar is best identified by a large Heiniken sign hanging outside. As other posters have written, there are a couple of pool tables and about 5 very attractive ladies wearing "staff" shirts. They are quite personable, but not available for "fun". There were no freelancers present when I arrived around 9pm. I mentioned to one of the staff that I was looking for a LT girl and she immediately called her friend. A five minute wait turned into an hour, so I went for a stroll on Danau Poso hoping to get better oriented to the scene. It quickly became apparent that multiple motorcycles carrying attractive ladies were turning into certain alleys. These alleys led to houses...some of which I had not seen by taxi.
So my last point is to just watch where the motos with the ladies go and use some common sense. No excess cash, jewelry, passport, etc.
One alley, about a block before Circle K, on the opposite side of the street from Circle K, wedged between a Wartell Telecommunications store and a local convenience store seemed particularly active. I stumbled down this dark dirt alley and found myself in the center of a huge meandering parking area holding over 100 motorcycles. The male crowd milling around was entirely local. There were between 8 and 12 houses with a red illuminated sign over each door saying "Sutra". These houses all opened into the center parking lot. I summoned the courage to enter every one of these houses and found a variety of non English speaking ladies lounging on couches and chairs in each place. I moved slowly, respectfully, and quietly, not knowing if I was trespassing in territory off limits to foreigners. At one point I stumbled into a local man and he was quicker to say "excuse me" than I was...so I felt a greater sense of ease. Some of the bedrooms had open doors and you could see dirty mattresses on the bare floor. I don't know if bathrooms were available or not. Occasionally an older woman at the door of the warren would paw me in a suggestive way, but for the most part I was ignored or viewed with mild curosity. This was a Saturday night and I returned on foot later in the week to a much less active situation. This "warren" is undoubtedly intended for the local men and not normally viewed by the tourist.
House 29x is particularly easy to find on foot when you start at the On-On Bar and walk toward Circle K. It's on the same side of the street. Follow the alley to it's wandering end where there will be a couple of men lounging watching an outdoor tv. There is a nice selection here, but be sure to ask about the second house a little further in the back. The young and fresh stuff is back there. Cost quoted was 200K. There was a decent bathroom with bucket of water for bathing...as is typical of these places. It can be quite an eye opener for a Western man to watch a third world lady bathe. In one case the young lady balanced squating with a foot on the top of each side of the tub, a five gallon bucket of water beneath and in front of her, vigorously applying soap between her legs, and repeatedly throwing water on herself with a ladle from the large bucket.
Another place: starting from the On-On Bar head toward Circle K. After about one block, on the same side of the street there is a light coming from a house window...visible from the sidewalk. Men and a couple of women may be hanging around the entrance at the sidewalk. A very large selection of ladies can be viewed from outside the house through the window. Again 200k.
A third place, reported on before, is down the straight alley adjacent to the Circle K (and the massage joint.)

On-On Bar was 90 seconds further, so yes your perception of distance here is better than mine. Now to walk from Vila Shanti to Hyatt. haha fLeaving for Ubud tomorrow. Would love to know where to find some action up there, as I hear it's harder to find. If anyone has some last minute suggestions re: Ubud please pm me. Would really appreciate it. I dropped by x29 tonight after noting the On-On Bar was pretty dead at 8:30. There are two separate viewing rooms at x29, although it's the same establishment. There were probably 20 tasty ladies in each of the two rooms. From my limited experience here, I have to say that this place offers an excellent selection. They quote me 200 all in, but I'm an obvious foreigner. They mentioned they have a couple of "young" girls whose asking price is 300, but I didn't investigate further or take anyone tonight.

Maybe it was Padang Galak, just north of Sanur and on the right. Any taxi driver will know.
I had the same problem as you are facing now, in UBUD.
There nothing happens and I tryed from hotel porters to taxis and I had a fantastic service from Baliescort take-a-way.
Although in the forum there were bad experiences I got two diferent girls at reasonable prices who stayed for LT.

Miscellaneous observations of a newbie to Sanur:
I didn't see many Fl pickup bars...5 or 6 max. Perhaps my viewing hours were too early in the evening, as I was generally back in my hotel by 11 or 12. On-On bar had the same two or three ladies, all chain smoking, all past their pull date on the two nights I visited. I also looked at the other end of the strip, north of Danau Tamblingau where the road changes it's name to Danau Toba where Baby Blue Bar is located. This bar is just a couple of blocks south of the McDonalds and it was totally dead. However, as someone else pointed out, there are two or three bars just south of Baby Blue that have talent. Unfortunately, 99% of them were chain smoking, overweight, and overage. I did get lucky however at "Nice Bar" (same side of the street as Baby Blue and not too far south) and took a short time back to my hotel that was memorable...200K. Unfortunately, she spoke no English and also smoked. I went back for her the next night for Lt but she wasn't there. Bottom line for me is that good freelancers are hard to find in this city.
I didn't notice any street walkers at anytime/anyplace in Sanur. However, men standing around will offer to drive you somewhere or help you find a nice lady. Likewise, I found a couple of mamasans on the street who wanted 400 for st for their "friend".
A couple of times, bemos would pull up as I walked in the evening and a couple of ladies inside would offer "massage complete". They were not attractive. And of course, the taxis all honk as they approach and say "Hey Boss! Need Lady?"
The restaurant/bars generally position attractive friendly hostesses at the entrance and a newbie might make the mistake of thinking these ladies are available...ie On-On Bar. They are not.
The vast majority of tourists that I saw were from the Scandanavian countries, Germany, or France. I don't believe I encountered another American here once. The locals are mellow and you have to reset your expectations to the local vibe. Relax, enjoy, and forget about time.
The beach massages go for about 100 or 110K. However, Yachiyo Salon on Jl. Danau Tamblingan #27 just north of Bonsai Cafe has really good legit Balinese massages for 50K/hr. They have tables with the breathing hole, and individual rooms with shower. They have you wear a disposable "brief" for the massage which comes in different sizes. They gave me a tiny one the first time I went and the result was pretty funny. The young staff wear jeans and in my experience keep things legitimate. However, if you want a legit massage, I think this is super value. I went twice and would have gone more, but I was transfering to Ubud. By the way, as I read their flyer now I see that a "WASH AND BLOW" is available at Rp. 25.000. Do you think I missed something?
Most week nights the streets get pretty quiet by 10 pm as far as foot traffic goes. However, many stores remain open...with little to no prospect of someone buying anything. I think this whole economy here is pretty fragile and everyone is anxious to make money.
There are a lot of mellow dogs meandering around that all look the same. Signs are around "Don't feed the dog". Which one?
I went to Ubud today and the transport was 130K. Don't know if that was good or not. Next report from Ubud may be a little thin.

Miscellaneous observations of a newbie to Sanur:
I'm also in Sanur at the moment and my impressions are totally different than yours X. But, dare I say, it may be because I did my prior research and RTFF before I arrived. If you go back about 4 months, you will find an excellent, informative report by Mighty Spearsman (cheers, mate), that will tell you exactly where the action is in Sanur, based mainly around the X-houses near On On Bar. On the basis of this I was able to quickly and easily find 66X last night (no need for taxi, who only take commission), where I had the pleasure of a 18 year old sweet, little cutey for 1 hour for 200T plus a 50T tip for the girl. Of course, these are brothels which may not be your scene but the quality of the girls is excellent and I'm sure take away is OK. I went in-house and found the rooms provided to be clean and spacious, but only cold showers. Off back again tonight.

I arrived in Sanur on a Saturday and decided to get the lay of the land. From Vila Shanti I walked south toward the Hyatt, thinking that the famous Danau Poso with the brothels was just a little further south. Unfortunately that was not the case and the heat, humidity, and my lack of energy caused me to turn back to the hotel. Later in the evening when it was dark and cooler, I hired a taxi (Blue Bird group) and asked the driver to show me the local brothels. Off we went...with my trust in the driver and faith in encountering only good natured Balanese people. We made approximately six stops with the driver turning each time into narrow alleys... which curved every which way... ultimately moving slowly deeper into the maze past small groups of local men amidst little houses. The driver would get out of the car with me, approach the local papasan, and accompany me to view the ladies usually lounging in a large room. I was tired from my flight that day and not particularly interested in taking a lady, so upon finding nothing of special interest, we would proceed to another alley and repeat the process. I was trying to remember the location of each of these houses, but it was dark, the city was new to me, and the routing was confusing. Knowing that the driver earns a commission from the brothel, I neglected to tell him I was "just looking". I would usually ask the papasan how much for LT and the response ranged from 600k to 1.5 mi. My sense is that the girls speak little to no English. At each brothel the driver would turn off the car,the meter would keep ticking, and I'd worry about the cost. After awhile, I tired of this routine and had the driver drop me at the On-On bar on J Danau Poso. Total adventure was 32,000 IDR for the taxi...a bargain for a prolonged edgy experience and an introduction to the Sanur brothel scene.
Much has been accurately written in the forum about the X houses of Sanur, but I think things still gets confusing. In my opinion, a newbie needs to first get oriented by a taxi driver. Pay special attentionn to the location of On-On Bar and the Circle K convenience store because this stretch of four to six blocks between the two provides plenty of opportunity to see several brothels on foot.
The second point to make is that I never once saw signage for the "On-On Bar" and my taxi driver didn't seem to be familiar with it either. The bar is best identified by a large Heiniken sign hanging outside. As other posters have written, there are a couple of pool tables and about 5 very attractive ladies wearing "staff" shirts. They are quite personable, but not available for "fun". There were no freelancers present when I arrived around 9pm. I mentioned to one of the staff that I was looking for a LT girl and she immediately called her friend. A five minute wait turned into an hour, so I went for a stroll on Danau Poso hoping to get better oriented to the scene. It quickly became apparent that multiple motorcycles carrying attractive ladies were turning into certain alleys. These alleys led to houses...some of which I had not seen by taxi.
So my last point is to just watch where the motos with the ladies go and use some common sense. No excess cash, jewelry, passport, etc.
One alley, about a block before Circle K, on the opposite side of the street from Circle K, wedged between a Wartell Telecommunications store and a local convenience store seemed particularly active. I stumbled down this dark dirt alley and found myself in the center of a huge meandering parking area holding over 100 motorcycles. The male crowd milling around was entirely local. There were between 8 and 12 houses with a red illuminated sign over each door saying "Sutra". These houses all opened into the center parking lot. I summoned the courage to enter every one of these houses and found a variety of non English speaking ladies lounging on couches and chairs in each place. I moved slowly, respectfully, and quietly, not knowing if I was trespassing in territory off limits to foreigners. At one point I stumbled into a local man and he was quicker to say "excuse me" than I was...so I felt a greater sense of ease. Some of the bedrooms had open doors and you could see dirty mattresses on the bare floor. I don't know if bathrooms were available or not. Occasionally an older woman at the door of the warren would paw me in a suggestive way, but for the most part I was ignored or viewed with mild curosity. This was a Saturday night and I returned on foot later in the week to a much less active situation. This "warren" is undoubtedly intended for the local men and not normally viewed by the tourist.
House 29x is particularly easy to find on foot when you start at the On-On Bar and walk toward Circle K. It's on the same side of the street. Follow the alley to it's wandering end where there will be a couple of men lounging watching an outdoor tv. There is a nice selection here, but be sure to ask about the second house a little further in the back. The young and fresh stuff is back there. Cost quoted was 200K. There was a decent bathroom with bucket of water for bathing...as is typical of these places. It can be quite an eye opener for a Western man to watch a third world lady bathe. In one case the young lady balanced squating with a foot on the top of each side of the tub, a five gallon bucket of water beneath and in front of her, vigorously applying soap between her legs, and repeatedly throwing water on herself with a ladle from the large bucket.
Another place: starting from the On-On Bar head toward Circle K. After about one block, on the same side of the street there is a light coming from a house window...visible from the sidewalk. Men and a couple of women may be hanging around the entrance at the sidewalk. A very large selection of ladies can be viewed from outside the house through the window. Again 200k.
A third place, reported on before, is down the straight alley adjacent to the Circle K (and the massage joint.)

I arrived in Ubud for a short two nights after five in Sanur. I knew the pickings would be slim from reading the forum but I figured that my batteries would need recharging anyway. I walked around a bit to try to get oriented and noticed the many high end stores: clothing and batik fabrics, art galleries, and Indonesian artifacts. I visited the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary which was fun and only cost 15K. I checked out several massage places which charge a variety of fees. The 50k massage in Sanur seem to go for 85K here. Then there are the high end spas that get 200k for the experience. Had a nice massage at Sara's Massage from a gal who got a little suggestive, so I propositioned her. She would not provide extra services in the salon. She said the owner sleeps in the salon as well as all the masseuses and she can't even get out after work to the hotel to provide short time. I think that in the city core, you are unlikely to find extra services offered.
That night the Cendana hotel concierge suggested a nearby Balinese Theatrical performance. I attended and thoroughly enjoyed it. For those of you who have never seen this type of traditional theater, do yourself a favor and take it in. Cost was 75K. There were about 10 musicians and 15 costumed performers. Audiance numbered about 30 people in a great little temple on Monkey Tree Road. I don't know how they can do it.
The next day I tried Eve's Massage on Monkey Tree Road for a legit experience. The lady was probably trained for 3 weeks and then turned loose on customers. No great legit massage and no tip...120k for 1 and 1/2 hours.
This evening I asked a transport guy where I could meet local women. He told me about a cafe on the outskirts of the city and off we went for 25k. The transport guy, "Komang" had an unmarked car as opposed to a taxi and I had to wonder how safe it was to head out to parts unknown with a total stranger. When we turned off the paved road and started up a dirt trail with heavy folliage on both sides, I remembered a post I had read about "W.R.Pondok". We pulled up to a little shack with about a dozen motorcycles but no taxi's outside and I had visions of entering the Bali version of a Hells Angels club. Not to worry, it was Ponkod's and the manager/owner greated my driver and me as old friends. The setup here is that every lady works for the club and has to stay until 2 am. It's extremely dark, the techno music is very loud, the crowd is thin and you only see one or two ladies so you take the first one you see. My driver agreed to return in 1 hour and during that time I bought 2 tall bears for 30k each. My "date" and I shared them. My thinking was to meet up for short time the next day but when she quoted 1 mil I said forget it.
The next day I took a taxi to the Neka Art Museum on the far side of the bridge. The Neka is a traditional Museum devoted to Indonesian art and I think is a must see my anyone who enjoys an occasional cultural foray. Walking back downhill toward the bridge from the Neka I came across the Sedona Spa (right side of road) which was one of the the highlights of my Ubud trip. On a whim I took a one hour Bali massage, body scrub, yogurt coat, and tub soak. I kid you not, it was a great experience and value for 130k. Following the spa I continued downhill to the Blanco Museum which another poster enjoyed. It's devoted to the Spanish/Bali artist Blanco...sort of a Salavador Dali of Bali. It's quite different and I recommend.
I had dinner at the Lamak restaurant on Money Forrest street which is beautifully designed and serves great food...higher end. Then walked to the Jazz Cafe on Jl Sukma which was suprisingly sophisticated and served up some great music. Cover charge of 25K and 19K beer for a total tab of about $5 US. They had out fliers on the street, which is how I learned of it's existance. Directly across the street from Jazz Cafe is a large Hindu Temple and separate performance area. A free traditional Balanese performance was being presented when I left the cafe, so I took that in also. Great, great free entertainment with only a handful of tourists like be stumbling across it, but a large local crowd dressed in classic Indo garb.
All in all visiting Ubus was a pleasant well timed change of pace after Sanur. I'd encourage anyone who goes there to venture out into parts of the city away from their hotel, as this place is a little larger than it might first appear to the first time visitor.

Last Friday I had the chance to go to this place on the bypass to airport.
(from Sinpamsiur, roundabout with big statue near Bali Galleria, direction airport it's is located on the left 100 mt after Bali Galleria mall).

Well gentlemen my little man was born yesterday and weighed in at 3.9kg mama is good and sleeping soundly with family in hospital so I decided to just see what the world is like out there at the moment.
It has been over 6 months since I have even stepped foot in a club so I noticed a few things
1. Even the most average girl is quoting rp 500.000 for 1 hr (not one girl said short time, which could slip into 2 hrs give or take) I must have asked about 7 girls throughout my little jaunt out and was really shocked with the girls not budging on prices... For all night all would not go below 1 million.
2. Many of the clubs have had upgrades and it seems to work better.
Bounty Ship - Full of young Aussies and girls from Norway, average girls with the occasional pearl already taken.
Paddys - Really surprised me, they have moved the centre bar over giving more room on the dance floor, at 10, the girls were average but by 12 there would have been at least 10 - 15 hot, hot tight bodies and those girls did not look cheap.
MBargo - I left at 1.30 and it still was quiet. hardly any girls, more a sausagefest waiting for a injection of women. I was told by Higgins that the girls dont get there until at least 2 (this means they are the ones from the other clubs that cant score early)
Engine Room - This is one of the new clubs in town, and very deceiving, it actually goes back quite a long way and has good pool tables in the back. Its new so it will be one of the must try clubs, although I didnt really see many hot girls there at 12, just a lot of ex pats with a smattering of decent talent coming in.
ViAiPi - Great venue on the site of the old Paddys (pre bomb) I looked at 11.30 and it was quiet. It could develop into one of the great bars just need people and girls to go. One thing I did notice is be careful coming down the big wooden staircase in the entrance, with the bad lighting and the way the floorboards are, ou cant see the edges of the stairs so i could see many a drunken reveller hurting themselves.
Eikon - Great bar, no atmosphere and no girls.
Skygarden - The PR girls have become average, I believe the good ones are all down at sister club Ocean Beach club
In the end, I didn't pull any action, the increased price along with a somewhat snobby attitude has really put me of (until next time, when I arent tired) One thing I did notice is... If you want hot, you have to now pay through the nose for it. Its now almost worth investing in a escort agency as there would be a business worth making money now.

firstly i apologize in advance if this report is a little one dimensional (and long). as i was in town for only 4 nights (effectively 3), i decided to concentrate on, what seemed the most interesting option - the x houses. also this place is new to me so please forgive me if i make the odd mistake and am ‘teaching grannies …etc’
arrived from singapore late thursday night. had pre-booked a room at swastika inn. room disappointingly tired looking. only 11pm so went out looking for some action but pattaya this is not. everything seems to close up about 11pm here and no doubt most good balinese folk are tucked up in bed shortly after. couldn’t even find anywhere nearby to eat or have a beer so ended up scoffing hotdogs in circle k. not an auspicious start.. lots of taxi drivers and no-good sorts on the sidewalks offering girls but decided this course of action decidedly unwise especially as i was short on rupiah. so it was an early night for me as well.
next day time out to explore the place. a lower key, package tour version of kuta but with just as many sidewalk vendors and other hassle merchants. nice beach which was apparently mostly shipped in. hotel had poor rooms but lovely gardens and 2 nice pools. lots of decent cafes, bars and restaurant, as would be expected.
found it was only a 5 minute bemo ride to on on bar. decent little, open plan bar with pool/billiard tables and a couple of freelancers but not especially young or attractive. had a couple of beers and a chinwag with an aussie expat. like kuta, the place has been largely colonized by oz folk. then went for a look at the (in)famous x houses. as indicated, by ms in a previous informative report, the houses are easy to find in sanur and not at all sordid. first place i looked in had only a couple of attractive girls so pressed on to 66x which is easily found about 30 yards on the right down a rather dark lane by the left side of the circle k store. the brothel is at 66x and is set back a little from the lane, there is another x house, bizarrely numbered, i think, 15 and just before 66, but i didn’t go in there. 67x at the end of the lane comprises the fairly new and quite clean and fairly spacious rooms in the accommodation area. girl line up was amazingly good with about 12 to choose from, most young and decidedly bonkable, so had trouble choosing but eventually opted for a slender young 19 year old from bandung called peepit. had a playful if frustrating session with an affectionate girl who, though obviously a little scared of the ‘big’ foreigner, tried her best to earn her tip her cbj (my choice, not hers - after all these are high turnover brothel girls) was ok but not great. the main act was laughably abbreviated by her pained whining so back to a bj and whipped off the rubber for a grand finale which quite surprised her and had her re-applying her makeup afterwards. unfortunately no photo’s allowed. not an exceptional experience, but not the worst ever, either.
the following night, i returned to the same x-house, to try one of the other tasty nublets. only about 6 to choose from this time but included one cute little lass i had noticed the night before. quite shy and reticent, she didn’t really want to go with me but soon came around. name of windah, also 19 from bandung (do x houses recruit all their girls from there?) and a sly little goer as the quieter one often are. had a great time with her, the only negatives being an almost complete lack of english and a slight underarm bo:(. although the photo (only fully clothed allowed) does not show it, she had a quite acceptably large pair of knockers for such a tiny slip of a girl. on the way back to the hotel was propositioned by a bemo massage girl. i would estimate early thirties and not particularly attractive, she offered herself for a laughable 600t st. driver got shirty when i turned her down (wonder how much ‘commission’ he gets?) and then only gave him the standard 2t fare, and walked away as he started to kick off.
the final night, i decided to tour more of the x-houses. must have entered at least 5 – 6 but found that they either didn’t have girls and had to ring elsewhere for a selection, or in the case of 29x, only 4 girls available (only 1 of whom was attractive for me). admittedly it was still quite early at 8.30pm so maybe the selection is better later. at no time did i feel threatened or under pressure – the whole thing is very low key and relaxed and nobody gets peeved if you say no and walk away. a guy in 29x took me through to a attached annex where there was another 20 girls on display, including a couple of really well stacked chicks. the papasan quickly brought the price down to 200t plus 50t for the room. i was tempted but had already decided to return to 66x which i think has the youngest and most attractive selection. not disappointed. greeted like a regular (which i guess i had become) and offered the best selection yet of 20+ girls of which 90% of whom i decidedly would not kick out of bed! chose a cute, little 20 year old spinner (my favorite type) called ice and from – you guessed it! best service yet. she must have thought i was a lollipop the way she licked me all over;).
would also recommend the canteen style restoran, near 29x if you want to sample authentic and tasty balinese cuisine (but you need stainless steel guts like me).
overall i gained a favorable impression of p4p in sanur. only wish i had more time to explore the possibilities. and i should, of course, have found time to visit the big durian.

My first night in Kuta I dropped into Paddy's Pub on Legan arond 11:30. The forum had reported that things got going from midnight to early in the morning and I was pleased that it was already busy at this early hour. I noticed that 15 to 20 local girls were hanging out on the left side of the bar, while the rest of the place was populated by lots of tourists from different nations. Extremely loud music made chit chat difficult, people were dancing, and the scene was pretty animitated. I made eye contact with some of the girls and the typical "What's your name...where you staying...you on holiday...business...how long you here?" script ensued. As another poster sugested, I claimed to be a repeat visitor with business in Jakarta, with the implication that I understood the scene quite well. Several of the girls would be quite direct after they accertained I was traveling alone and would ask "you want massage?". In almost every case they'd take things a step further and specify what they'd do for me. My selection asked 900k for LT which I think is standard for this city. Anyway, I made my selection and we walked back to the Dewi Sri Hotel...about 3 blocks total...followed by some rather loud and drunk Aussie Lads. We had a nice evening, mutual shower, bbbj, etc. and lots of cuddling through the night. In the morning she asked for an extra 50K for security at the hotel, who had taken her ID upon our entering. I came to learn that this was standard operating procedure for the ladies. Indeed, I watched her give the guard the note when she retrieved her ID.
The next night I called her and she came directly to the hotel for a repeat performance...unusual for me. This evening she mentioned that all the girls at Bounty and Paddy's have a "boss" who gets 50% of the earnings. She was from Java, of course, and our communication was not the best, but I tried to ask why it was necessary to have a boss. I never really got an answer. Boss has many girls, but there are many bosses as well. I would have loved to learn more of the details, but the language difficulties prevented that. She also mentioned that she, her younger sister, and her two year old child all live together in Denpasar. She sends 4 mil home to her parents in Java each month and if she's short she catches a lot of grief from her father. She works every night at Paddy's and only Paddy's but doesn't necessarily have a customer each day. She allowed me to take a few pics with clothing. I found it interesting that she applied bleaching creme to her face several times throughout the evening. These Asian ladies want to be light skinned, and the American ladies want to be dark. Go figure.
The Dewi Sri Hotel is a four story affair with each room opening onto the outside balcony. It's very well located as it's close to the action, yet still quiet at night...unless some of the Australian boys are in a nearby room. Clients here tend to be 30 something foreigners. The walk in shower is good for two, there's a tv with neither remote nor English channels, and a refer stocked with stuff your date for the evening will want to eat. Wi-fi is available on an hourly basis prepaid at 35K for one. I used their pool once, the bar once, and ate the complementary blah breakfast each day.
The hawkers for the souviner stalls are aggressive, the occasional mammasans are agressive, and the massage touts constantly urge you to get a massage. I don't care for the negotiation process, so I never tried the well known massage/fishbowls here. I prefered to take from Paddy's or Bounty in the evening. Although I tried several legit massage joints, I never found one offering good service. Most of these places train the girls for a few weeks and turn them loose on the customers. This is my last night in Indonesia and I'll have a look at Engine Room . Pics of the hotel grounds, shower, and clothed lady.

At the My Bar there is a boss named Nyoman. He is also a cop. He controls
the situation for both sides and he gets his share for enforcing honesty.
If you take a girl from MY Bar he watches and notes the time and girls name.
If anything should happen, ie: she rips you off for your Rolex or money or doesn't come through with the service promissed, you can protest to him and
he will question the WG.
Like wise if the WG gets beat up or stiffed by a drunk, she reports back to

Wow, I was just trying to find time to post my field reports from two pass-through trips in Bali during early October. And I find that I can just write “Me, too!” behind Xdentx’s report. Yep, I stayed at Dewi Sri, too. Yes sir, I went hunting at Paddy’s, too. And I’ll be darned if I didn’t pick up Ms Mira!

My date staggered back to the Dewi Sri with me and collapsed into my bed fully clothed while I showered. The best day time fun on the island. The photos were taken at 41x.
Faced with my final morning in Paradise (Kuta) and a noon check out from Dewi Sri, I determined to make the most of my time. Following an early breakfast, I headed up Legan looking for a legit massage joint that might be open at 9 am. After a half dozen blocks later I turned down a side street and came across a nice looking Spa. Took a one hour massage there in upscale surroundings from an excellent young Balinese native and headed happily back to the hotel by 10:30.
Now those of you familiar with the Dewi Sri know that there are several souvenir shops immediately preceding entrance to the hotel grounds. I stopped at the last one on the left before the hotel and explained to the young shop keeper my need for a little relief in my hotel room before departing to the airport. She was eager to call her nearby friend to accommodate me and we struck a deal for 300k. for bbbj and "jiggy-jiggy" as they call it in this country. (Thailand is boom-boom and yum-yum) (The Dominican Republic is "freaky-freaky"). I went to my room, showered, packed, and in only ten minutes had my delivery at my hotel door. The "pimp" shopkeeper had accompanied my service provider who was young and reasonably attractive. Shopkeeper wanted payment upfront for the 20 to 30 minutes we had negotiated, but I said no way,and she quickly changed her tune and left. She was back at my door in 5 minutes to explain that anything approaching 30 minutes would be 400k...a rather desperate and irritating interruption.
My lady did a nice job and we wrapped up quickly. She wanted a tip for the bbbj as opposed to cbj so I gave her 350k. She complained she had been quoted 400k by the shopkeeper, but I was having none of that and politely showed her the door. We had kept to the 20 minutes and 350k was generous for her. All in all a fitting conclusion to my 30 day odyssey to the Philippines and Indonesia. Now to finesse a gracefull reentry to my prior conservative lifestyle in the Us. God help me.

They sell you the weed, point you out to the cops, you get arrested, they scare the crap out of you, you then pay a huge fee to be let go, the cops then return the pot to the dealers, along with some of the money you gave them, and the dealers then look for the next unsuspecting tourist.
May I suggest a few shots of JD instead.
Or go to Nepal, the stuff grows wild on the side of the road. (or used to)

Cambodia is the place for you - decent mongering and relaxed weed laws. Don't partake myself anymore but a friend of mine who runs a hotel in Snooky says he has smoked openly in front of the local Chief of Police (presumably calling around to take contributions to the police xmas party;)) with no problems at all.
I have a good friend here in Bali who grows pot back in America (acres of it), he, I and most sane people living in bali have the same view of this situation...if someone was smoking (pot) at a party, we'd get up and leave. I agree with the previous warning regarding this.

Grahadi entertainment center was the subject of some questions a few weeks back. I had checked out the website and the pictures were certainly nice eye candy. But the website is not very helpful about what to expect so I sent my questions to the “contact” email. Surprisingly, I received prompt responses from Mr. Ari, and a mobile telephone number to call when I arrived in Bali. The bad news was confirmed – that the overnight, take-away prices are 1.2 juta, all inclusive. Ouch! I did a translation to about 4k Thai Baht and said, WTF, I’ll take one for the team, to see how this all works out. Any benefit to me is, of course, just an accident.
I arrived in Bali in the early afternoon and suffered through the two hours of waiting for visa on arrival. It was about 17h00 before I got my Indonesian sim card installed and called Mr. Ari. He says “C’mon over at 19h00 and I’ll introduce you to the girls.” At this time, I didn’t know that Grahadi opens at 14h00, when the day shift lovelies come to work and actually CLOSES for an hour at 19h00.
I learned about Grahadi closing when I arrived at the reception desk. The guy at reception was polite but amused. Another call to Ari to solved the problem and I joined him in the restaurant. Evidently, the girls going off duty get a meal and sometimes the night shift girls eat at that time, too. Ari figures that he gets a chance to chat with this big bule and I get an extra look at the girls. The girls, BTW, are pretty but oh-so-young. Maybe 20 of them are eating at various tables and the scene reminded me of a high school café more than anything. I felt old all of a sudden. The feeling only lasted about 5 seconds, though, until lust kicked in.

The first two months you can stay in Indonesia without doing anything. However, when the end of these two months approaches, I go to a Kantor Imigrasi to get an extension. I will get an extension for ONE month. Every month I will repeat this, until I have six months, INCLUDING the first two months. Don't forget to ask for a POA (Pendaftaran Orang Asing?) when entering the fifth month of your stay!
Towards the end of those six months, I go to Singapore again. The couple of days I have to wait for my new SC visa, I usually use to monger in Singapore.
Anyway this is how I manage to stay in Indonesia for a longer period without having a working or residential permit like a KITAS nor a senior citizen visa (Visa Lansia).

certain countries that you do not even need a visa. This is only what I have
heard so if I am incorrect please advise.

This is the current visa situation in Indonesia.
If you intend to stay no longer than 30 days, you can get a "Visa on Arrival". This is available to almost all nationallities but with some notable exceptions. You get it at an airport for US$25. Legally it is non-extendable, but some people have tame immigration officers who can fix things for them.
Nationals from the ASEAN countries don't need to get a visa. They also get a maximum of 30 days on arrival.
If you want to stay longer than 30 days, or you are from one of the countries that is not part of the Visa on Arrival scheme (the list is on the Indo govt website and on any number of Indo tourism portals) you must get a visa at an Indonesian Embassy or Consulate prior to your arrival.
There are two types.
As Menteng points out, the so-called Visitors or Social Visa (Social Cultural visa index 211) is the most practical.
You need to have a sponsorship letter from an Indonesian national stating that they invite you to Indonesia. This letter must be accompanied by a photo copy of the person's ID card, and an official Meterai (a kind of postage stamp that makes documents official.)
You will get 60 days on arrival and then you can extend month by month up to a total of six months. After that you need to leave the country and get a new visa.
There is a thing called a mulitple entry business visa which allows you to come and go for a maximum of 60 days at a time, for a period of 12 months. There is a lot of paperwork involved in this option and it has to be approved by immigration hq in Jakarta. You need to arrange it all within Indonesia with an immigration consultant, then leave and come back with the visa.
It's not worth the cost or the aggro unless you are a bona fide business person.
There are also various residence, working and retirement visas too, which take quite a time to organise.
So, in short, if you're coming here for less than 30 days, get the Visa on Arrival. If you intend staying longer than 30 days, get a Social Cultural visa index 211.
