You see there are no points to be redeemed or vouchers in your favorite AGOGOs in Pattaya, Thailand. But you still pay!

Of course, my objection to paying $250 to $600/ night for a 5 star hotels is primarily based on my personal spending limits and although I do have money and investments, I never spend more per year than I earn minus all mandatory and necessary expenditures on things like taxes, insurance, medical, new investments, utilities, local transportation, ect, ect. Got it? Thus, whatever is left over after accounting for all these cash outflows goes into my annual entertainment fund.

Now I like to travel and have sex with lots of young pretty girls. I usually travel for 3 or 4 months per year. That used to mean 2 trips to SE Asia per year, but since Covid I have been forced to travel around half that amount of time (6 weeks per year) due to family obligations. Anyway, yeah to do what I like and not draw down on my savings and investments, it is necessary for me to impose some budgetary constraints especially while I am on the road.

The 4 main travel expenditures we all encounter are 1. Travel, 2. Lodging, 3 Pussy, and 4. Consumption (Food, Drink, Reefer, ect). What I am going to run through now I my personal allocations based on my preferences and my self-imposed, for the most part, financial constraints. Everybody has different preferences and different constraints, but for illustrative purposes I will run down mine. Here Goes:

The most important item on my expenditure list is PUSSY! So, I almost never deny myself the pleasure or company of the girls I want. I know the prices before I go out hunting, so I hardly every am surprised and I never pay over the listed price. So, for example, if I go to a top end Macau Sauna like Familia Nobre, I know the price range before the pretty Indonesian girls help me take off my clothes. Later during Show Time I always look over all the girls starting with the regular / ordinary Chinese girls and if I spot one to my liking, great it will save some money, but usually, the quality gets better and better as I walk down the line until I find myself looking at the 'international models" and the crme de la crme "Emperor models". I will never forget the last time I was at Familia: I spotted a very sexy Singapore girl (half Chinese / half Thai) in the international model group. Then my host walked me past the "Emperor models" and Ooh La La! They had 2 Korean girls who were fucking gorgeous, a couple of equally fine Chinese girls and lastly one sublime blond Ukrainian girl and I am talking real model quality Ukrainian. So naturally I wanted her, and I stopped to chat with her a little. KKK. Then my host told me that bad news: $450 US! (FUCK!) And I just couldn't pull the trigger. It was a bridge too far. Hah! So, I went back to that pretty little Singapore girl and took her to a room and had a great time. Her sauna set price was $350 which to this day is the most I have ever paid for any girl anywhere. I have not been back to Macau since Covid, but I am sure girly prices have risen substantially there although I hope I am wrong.

My point is I try not to limit myself on pussy, because shaggin' pretty girls is #1 on my list.

Consumption is #2 and I almost never limit myself on food, drink or reefer, at least when I am travelling. So, If I want a Michelin star $60 steak and fries for myself and same same for my girl, we go out and get it! If I want to drink a bottle of good Barolo, I buy it, Although I do try not to go too crazy and stay under a hundred a bottle, usually $50 or $60 Argentine Malbec will suffice. KKK. And need I say anything more about smoke? KKK. In SP one can order several different grades. We (I) because you need a local girl with cpf card to place the order. I always order the best variety.

That leaves Transportation and Lodging, the 2 necessities of travel. But IMHO Air travel is a necessary evil and rip off. I hate coach where the fliers are treated like cattle, yet unfortunately, 1st class, or Business Class is more than double the price / double the miles of coach so usually don't have the points for Business Class and the upgrade would take me over my budget. So, I live without the upgrade as I do not view it as an actual necessity. Poor little me! But I do pay up for the BS extended leg room seat currently running at around $300/ round trip from US to SP because that I view as necessary. So yes, I am willing to spend around $1500 currently on a round trip, but not $3200. That's just me. I have some pals who can afford it a little better than I can, so they fly Business or 1st. I am not jealous, that is just the way things are. Good for them.

And lastly, there is Lodging which I consider of similar importance as flying certain classes. In other words, If I have the points I will book the 5 stars. If a favorite 5 star is having a sale and I can book a room for around the same price as 4 star, I will book the 5 star because I like 5 star hotels, but I have no problem staying at 4 stars when the 5 stars have priced themselves above my price point. It's that simple.

SP 5-star hotel prices are in the stratosphere. I don't know anyone who pays the rack rate. But room rates fluctuate, almost weekly, and sometimes the chains offer weekend discounts or 3-to-5-night discount bookings that are much more reasonable. The main way I get around these huge rack rates is by using hotel points and annual voucher nights that I accumulate over time from various hotel chain credit cards like the Chase Marriott & Chase Hyatt. Having membership standing with these hotels can get you room upgrades at no additional cost when available. For example. On my last April visit the Intercontinental upgraded my reservation from their king bedroom to their largest 1 br suite facing the front of the hotel. I paid in points and vouchers for my 5-night stay. It was grand! And on the same trip, the Hyatt, while undergoing extensive lobby renovations, upgraded my queen bedroom reso to their 1 br suite facing the river. Again, I paid in points and vouchers for my 5-night stay. The Hyatt is my favorite hotel in SP despite the fact that the surrounding neighborhood is completely uninteresting and a touch out of the way.

That said, I like the Marriot Exec hotel. It ain't 5 star, but it is comfortable, it is girl friendly, and the location is GREAT. Unfortunately, Marriot does not accept hotel points for this property. It is cash only at all of their exec apartment hotels worldwide. I have stayed at 2 different Marriott Exec Apart Hotels in BKK and liked them both.

I stayed for a week about 3 years ago. I had a nice studio apartment from either Booking or AirBnB. The staff were polite, at the time at least one person at the desk when I checked in spoke English but not sure if many of them did. There was an onsite restaurant where I ate breakfast several times. Decent food, ok price. At the time a guy had a food truck open in the evenings just south of the building and that was good and cheap. North a few minutes walk is a small strip mall with a couple of eating places. Further north, 7 -10 minutes walk are small shopping centers with a few restaurants and a grocery store. Other than these the area is pretty much residential. It also seemed very safe.

I had a few ladies visit with no problems.

The only partial negative is that most monger (and tourist) activities are going to be a decent Uber ride away. As long as you understand this going in and are ok with it, no problem. When I was there Uber was cheap, so it wasn't as much the cost as the time to travel the distance. There is a subway station about a 10 minute Uber ride away.
