Haha. So you remember me gaining national attention with my story about the runaway girls? Haha. So funny! I started contributing to ISG when I started mongering internationally. There are various things to catch regardless of Condoms sure, however that just distracts from condoms being effective for some things. A condom that did not come off or break is unlikely to cause a pregnancy.

Some time later I got another long term test and asked for HSV 2 only test. The result showed negative to HSV1 & HSV2, not what I asked for.

But seemed to indicate I never had either. This time was done by the Red Cross, previously by Ekkamai hospital I think.

The truth is you can get false positives and false negatives, so in the end, I still don't know if ever had either of them.

Seems like there is no reliable test. It is only a faint indicator. Not sure if worthwhile to get any further tests for HSV. Could be a waste of time and money.

What if I get negative again next time. Will it prove anything useful? Not really.

One doctor suggested I had a cold sore, but a skin specialist quickly refuted that and indicated.

Was a simple bacteria infection (easily treatable).

Doctors don't know much about STDs really unless they specialise in it. Normal general practitioners can have misguided education or lack of good education and experience.

One doctor tried to tell me you cannot get an STD from a BJ or from sex with a condom (or from a toilet seat) and yet, I had one, which was immediate counter evidence. So he was essentially trying to say I was lying about what encounters happened. On different occasion caught Chlamydia eye from my finger (was in pussy), so I know how easy it is to catch. Doctors should know too.

My recent comprehensive physician's exam two weeks ago did not check for either HSV1 or HSV2 and I did not think to ask for one. Like you, I have never had what one could suspect after checking is a genital HSV2 outbreak. But I had childhood measles, so I assume I have some traces of HSV1 or whatever herpes strain is associated with that in my system as is the case with so many. I suppose that is the reason I have not felt it necessary to get checked for herpes. It is one of the most prevalent viruses on the planet and would likely be a rare case for it not to ever show up to some degree in a test anyway. Meanwhile, I have never had a physician push for me (or anyone else I know) getting tested for herpes. I think when you check the boxes for measles or whatever else on the admission form, that pretty much tells them what they need to know.

With all due respect ET for me this is not about whether you personally are a danger to your lady going BB, most likely tests not withstanding you are not. No the conversation is about the risks in going BB with somebody whose health situation is unknown. Having BB with somebody who is not a carrier of an STI other than the risk of pregnancy also nonexistent with a vasectomy, it is safe. The danger is not in transmitting it is in contacting. You can take all the precautions, washing, checking for telltale signs etc but you can never be sure the girl is not a carrier and while nothing is guaranteed by using condoms a bad outcome is significantly reduced.

Well, I do think much of the discussion has also been about the punter putting the sex worker at risk of both unplanned pregnancy or disease (or boyfriend/husband re the girlfriend/wife) . I understand that might not be your primary concern or what you want to talk about. But I and others have been talking about that part of it as well.

Let's say in your "selfish and borderline abuse by blind-folded street crossing" analogy that my strongly recommended circumcision + vasectomy + recent negative test document precautions add looking both ways up and down the street right before donning the blindfold to determine there are no cars on the street as far as the eye can see, not even a parked one, before stepping off the curb. Ok, we'll allow for that one-in-a-million chance some speed racer going 200 MPH might spin out of control and out of nowhere around the corner about the time we get half-way across that street, just to give a nod to nothing being perfect. I submit a street crossing after taking that precaution, blind-folded, even at the intersection of Sukhumvit and Asok, is very likely safer than crossing the street at Sukhumvit and Asok without a blind-fold during normal traffic conditions.

Then the topic also begs the question; why not do both or all of the above? If you're so concerned about not being selfish or abusive regarding putting a sex worker, a sometimes girlfriend or a booty call at risk of disease or unwanted pregnancy even if you try to use a condom every time, why stop at merely slipping on a condom when it is well-known that in actual, real-world practice and not theoretical or hypothetical white-coated scientists in a sterile lab environment conditions, condoms can and do fail to provide anything near 100% effectiveness? Why not also get circumcised, get a vasectomy and always have a very recent negative blood check document (for at least a couple of biggies) from a qualified clinic in your possession before proceeding with that "street crossing"? Especially since it is as well-known as the data on condom use under real world conditions that establishing those latter precautions are also very effective in avoiding unwanted pregnancy and transmission of disease.

The irony is my (and others) circumcision, vasectomy and blood check procedures WERE performed in approximate white-coated scientists in sterile lab environment conditions while the real world application of a condom, especially with regard to punters and sex workers, is all too often performed under conditions that are a chaotic mess. Not least of which being both parties involved in the procedure have likely had as many as 12-15 alcoholic beverages in the 5-6 hours leading up to the procedure and at least one of the two are either consciously or subconsciously rooting for the procedure to fail to be completed or not even attempted at all.

I try to avoid that by keeping my responses as short as possible and not giving him more attention than he deserves.
